“Excellent!”
Reviewed 18 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We stayed at Shepherd's Delight in August for two nights. We would have loved to stay longer, and would have extended our stay, had it not been for it being booked up! Very cosy accommodation with everything you could need or want! We thoroughly enjoyed the camp fire and loved toasting marshmallows on the fire! Would highly recommend to others!
We are already planning to return next year!

“Magical!!!!!”
Reviewed 23 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We have just returned from a one night stay for our wedding anniversary. The attention to detail is amazing. I do not have enough words to explain how special Jo has made this little private retreat.
The Hut has everything you could possibly need, right down to dressing gowns and crocs.
The only thing you need is a bottle or two of wine and your food. We spent most of our time sat in the fabulous watching the wildlife.
The compost loo was so clean and smelt beautiful, you would never know it was a compost loo.
We did not want to come home and as soon as we did we booked 2 nights for next year.
This is a very special place.

“get away from it all”
Reviewed 18 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

My husband and I visited this place as a "mini moon" and it was fantastic. What no had not thought of was not worth having, from the crocs and dressing gowns to the umbrella in the toilet, there was everything you could possibly need. We booked a meal at the malt shovel and walked there through the bridle paths, upon our return we used the hot tub, which was fantastic, Sat in a hot tub drinking champagne and watching the sun go down....it doesn't get much better than that!! The bed was extremely comfortable and in the morning we had an outdoor shower, our host Jo, was great, very welcoming but left us alone also, a very difficult balance to achieve but she managed it.It was a lovely escape and I would love to go back, well done Jo!!

Thank you Jo for your warm welcome to our brilliant weekend at Shepherds Delight. The hut was everything we expected and much more. Every little detail had been thought about which made our weekend extra special. The hot outdoor shower was a wonderful concept enabling us to shower outdoors for the first time. The breakfast basket was a lovely touch including the marshmallows which we cooked on the open fire. Thank you Jo for having the vision to create such a wonderful outdoor experience. We will definitely be returning.

“ROMANTIC, RELAXING RETREAT”

We stayed in the hut during the coldest month of December, in windy storms and we were so cosy, warm and sheltered in the hut. The quality of the interior, down to the finest details was exquisite and has been made into a beautiful home-like hut. The perfect combination of seclusion and cosy living. We felt completely renewed and refreshed after our stay.
Thank you

PS We highly recommend a visit to The Malt Shovel in Breaton. Lovely traditional pub, food 'out of this world'. Jo suggested it and it is well worth a visit! 5 minutes drive or you can walk it.
