“Fantastic getaway!!”
Reviewed 16 February 2018 for a stay in February 2018

We stopped here to celebrate my girlfriends birthday and to celebrate valentines.....I felt like a hermit for 2 days....it was great, the hut had a nice warm homey feel and the experience takes you back to basics, the toilet is 50yards away fro the hut, you will need to start fires for the hot tub and the hut. The wildlife was beautiful....pheasants, squirrels, alpacas and many more.

The hot tub is lush, we sat in there at night time and gazed at the stars, it’s truly a romantic place.

So if you want zero human contact, peace and quiet and somewhere to gather your thoughts and spend time with someone you love then this place is the place for you.

5/5

(P.s you get breakfast hampers for both mornings, I thought this was a lovely touch).

“Great Stay”
Reviewed 16 January 2018 for a stay in January 2018

We spent two very happy, rain-soaked, mud-spattered days at Shepherds delight. It was lovely to get away just for a couple of days after Xmas, although we could have done without Storm Eleanor battering the hut the first night. Very wild! On the second evening we thought about not bothering to fill up the hot tub as it rained constantly, but were very glad we persevered. It was brilliant. Something very camp about sitting in a hot tub of water in the Great Outdoors at night watching the stars whilst being rained on, but also great fun. The hut was incredibly cosy. Thanks so much for a lovely stay. The friendly robin and pheasants were an added bonus.

Well done for braving the storm. When I first opened it was one storm after another and yet all my guests came back for more saying what an experience it had been! It is very cosy in the hut-if a little rocky in the wind!

“Winter weekend away! ”
Reviewed 15 January 2018 for a stay in December 2017

Little delay in leaving this review however, myself and my boyfriend experienced a wonderful two night stay from the 8th of December, the shepherds hut is the perfect escape from reality, with everything you need!!! The cosiest hide away with no visitors except the wildlife!

On arrival we were met by Jo, who does everything and more to ensure your stay is as pleasant as possible, recommending local pubs for a walk out and other routes if you want to explore the surroundings. On the second day of our trip we spent the day heating the wood burning hot tub, which was an experience in itself, all part of the fun! After 2.5 hours the hot tub had reached its highest temp and stayed that way for hours afterwards, there’s nothing more perfect than watching the sun set cosy in a lovely hot tub whilst it’s freezing cold outside!!

Even though we chose to stay in December with use of the log burner the hut stayed extremely warm all night long, maybe even to hot!! Experiencing life off grid was nothing but heavenly and we can’t wait to return!!!!!

“Amazing secluded retreat”
Reviewed 21 December 2017 for a stay in December 2017

Just returned from a two night stay at your little secluded retreat. We loved it, back to basics, spent our time just pottering, feeding the birds and so pleased we decided on the hot tub! Once through the gate total privacy.
Ditto to all the other reviews. Thank you also Jo for the lovely key ring for our anniversary it brought a tear to my eye.
