“Wonderful restaurant in Puebla”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 September 2013

This restaurant is an excellent option for Puebla Cuisine. The place is very pleasant with both indoor and patio seating. It is part of the Casareyna Hotel which is one of Pueblas best boutique hotels. I recommend the "Chile en Nogada" and the "Sample of four moles".

We had a great stay, can't really think of anything that should change. Close to city center, when we came sheltering from the rain in the hotel we staid and had a very fine dinner in the casareyna restaurant. Convenient car park at the hotel.

“Awesome Poblano”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 August 2013

Tried this restaurant on my last trip to Puebla. I have traditionally gone to "El Mural de los Poblanos" so after reading the reviews we decided to give this one a try. Very close (walking distance) from Puebla's down town square. The food was very good. We had the 4 mole platter. All four were very well prepared. I especially liked the regular (black) and the white mole based on piñon. The service was unmatched. Seemed like the waiters were always at just the right distance as to serve you when needed, but not close enough to feel "constantly observed". Prices were very adequate based on the quality of the food. Place were you can take the family (I have 6 - 12 year olds) without an issue. They liked the food as well! I would highly recommend it.

“By far the best Choice in Puebla”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 August 2013

Excellent choice, the best "Chiles en Nogada", excellent service, good food. The "Mole" is exquisite. You have to try it. You can´t visit Puebla and not taste the food of Casareyna.

“Our very favorite restaurant in Puebla”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 August 2013

What a find! Casareyna's hotel restaurant is definitely one of Puebla's best. And Puebla has some excellent restaurants. We were fortunate enough to stay in the hotel for a full week. Every meal we had was exceptional, as was the service. They have the local fare: Mole, Chiles en Nogada, etc., while delicious, they always seem to add a little something extra special. We know that their mole, which Puebla is famous for, has won awards each year. We tried the Mamey Ice Cream, a dessert made from the tropical mamey fruit, a salmon colored fruit with a sweet and creamy texture. They make this ice cream literally by hand from beginning to end, no ice cream machines, but done in buckets over ice, turned by hand. Their attention to detail was top. We especially loved our "continental" breakfast, served each morning, either in their lovely restaurant or your room: home made granola, fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee or tea, and fresh squeezed juice. If you visit Puebla, do not miss this restaurant. Actually, you should be staying at their hotel.
