What a complete delight to find a buck rarebit (egg on cheese on toast) on a menu.
It has no pretensions and in truth expectations were low as it is 'only a cafe'.
Tightly packed tables, queue with a tray, weave in between tired Sunday morning parents and folks hugging a 'mug of' on a cold wet February day.
Fixtures and fittings are old school - feels untouched in decades - but the smiles were warm and the service was 'as expected'.
It is clearly popular with locals - which is a good sign isn't it?
You will not leave hungry. Measure your smile and then decide to return - not a bad spot for a Sunday bimble with kids, some shops for sheltering and meandering and an attractive promenade to boot.

Will return with sunshine and try out the ices...........

“Never fails to please”

This is a typical seaside cafe. Great food, drinks, service and price. If you are in Lee give it a try and if you are lucky enough to get table in window you can enjoy view of sea as well!

“Full English full value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 January 2014 via mobile

Visited for breakfast 9:30 am. Quite busy with a mix of workers, cyclists, mums with kids and pensioners. Service efficient and food delivered within 10 mins of order. Wide Range of food with 3 sizes of breakfast from £5 to £8. We had the small and the medium ones with tea/coffee. Both were delicious although next time will opt for toast rather than fried bread which although very tasty is a bit much for my constitution these days. Excellent views across the Solent to isle of Wight and on a fine day you can sit outside and enjoy the sea air!!
All in all good value and a delightful location with free parking along the promenade close by!!

The staff were very friendly and helpful and service was quick. I had the small breakfast which was very fresh and tasted good. Great value for money.
