Recommended length of visit: 2-3 hours
Owner description: Founded 1987 as a charity, the Hovercraft Museum Trust has become the world's greatest collection of Hovercraft. Come visit our large collection of hovercraft large, and small. From the world's biggest commercial hovercraft, the SRN4, that ran a car ferry service across the channel to France, to craft used to film James Bond Die Another Day.

We visited the annual Hovershow for the first time ever, I found it very interesting, especially the two massive hovercraft that used to travel from Dover to France daily. Fascinating.

Come see some of the greatest examples of British engineering slowly succumb to salt water corrosion while the valiant team of volunteers try desperately to keep them presentable

If there is one museum in the UK that needs more support then this is it. It would terrible if these machines were to be lost..

We visited on a Tuesday as a large group. The museum is not normally open on that day but because of the size of te group they made great efforts to accommodate us. A comprehensive collection which shows the history and development of the Hovercraft with vehicle which can be accessed. A highly recommended visit

This museum is fantstic just a shame more money cant be raised to support this charity run site.
The craft are part of history and its a shame that the charity hasnt been grated lottery funding to keep it maintained.

The best attraction in lee and worth a visit. If you love the sea you will find all the hovercraft of the last years of service. We went from there to portsmouth to ride on the hovercraft to the isle of wright, it made it more interesting knowing how they work.
