Regrettably we were only at Masia Durba for two nights. It's a most attractive stone building, standing alone in its own grounds, with a really nice infinity pool and views out over the almond groves to wooded hills beyond and barely another building in sight (although cars on the distant carretera can be glimpsed through the trees.) Although standing in splendid isolation, the village of Geldo is a pleasant 20 minute paseo away. Inside the hotel is tastefully and most attractively furnished.
Breakfast is simple but delicious and the evening meal very good (although fairly expensive by the standards of the region.),
The star of the show, however, is the receptionist cum manager cum general factotum who could not be more helpful, friendly and courteous.

We recently spent 10 days traveling around Spain and this was BY FAR the best place we stayed. I wish we had known how lovely it was so we could have spent more than one night. The room was so pretty and comfortable with a large and beautifully decorated bathroom. The rest of the inn was amazing. They did such a great job on this place. It felt like a real countryside villa. The owner made us feel right at home. We were there at an "off" time in the middle of the week and not in peak season. It didn't matter that we might have been their only guests... they called their cook in to make dinner for us. It was the most romantic dinner of my life and so unexpected. We had the whole place to ourselves, but the quality did not suffer at all. Nestled in the countryside, it is a real gem and I highly recommend spending a romantic getaway weekend at Masia Durba.

This place really is stunning! Its in the middle of the countryside, surrounded by hills. The drive into the place is a single track road through various groves. The building itself is amazing, old stone, terracotta floor tiles, solid wood and glass, i loved it.
The room we had was on the third floor (there is a lift) it was massive! 4 poster bed, log burner (obv redundent in aug) a lovely bathroom with double sinks and jacuzzi bath.
There is a brilliant infinity pool which over looks the groves and out to the hills, there are a number of good quality sun loungers with padding scattered about the grassed area adjacent to the pool.
We had dinner here as well, and i must say it was outstanding, we had the tuna salad and foie gras to start, both were delicious, for mains we had the baked cod and pork. I must say that the cod was the best cod dish i have ever eaten, and cooked to perfection.
So, If you want to get away from the hussle and bussle in beautifu surroundings and good food, then come here, you will not regret it.

I traveled whit my wife, for our honeymoon, from Italy and we spent a beautiful night in july.
Amazing position, room and restaurant !
The room was big and clean, the dinner prepared whit attention by a great young cook, and the position quiet whit nothing all around, just trees and the sky.
What you see on the web site is exactly what you will find when you'll get there!
