We spent only one night at Thmorda Garden, but were so impressed by Lisa Crosley that we felt compelled to provide a review.

Lisa went way above and beyond the call of duty. She gave suggestions on where to travel in Thailand, she arranged a cross border taxi for us, she drove us free of charge to the Cambodia/Thai border, and she actually physically walked us through to the Thailand side directly to the waiting taxi. She made the entire process as smooth as possible. We can’t thank her enough for her kindness and generosity.

Expect the insolence from a Parisian waiter when coming to Thmorda. They do quite good with a not very fancy and budget place. In terms of decoration and food Its fair, But when it comes to service, the place is far from friendly. Maybe they were just having too many guests a tthe restaurant. Unlucky some guests have to pay form it.

Thank you for taking your time to review Thmorda. As you did not mention anything about the rooms, we are assuming that you were our guests at Thmorda Crab House. We are very sorry to hear that our service did not meet your expectation. Since the start of The Khmer New Year to date, we have served more than 1,000 guests at the restaurant, some days with more than 200 guests per day. All the staff have been working from 07:00 am until nearly midnight every night without even 1 day off trying very hard to satisfy all our valued customers. It is our policy to provide the friendliest service and we are very proud to have been rewarded with excellent reviews by our other customers. We apologize on behalf of the staff for not showing you our best effort, hope that you will visit us again one day and let us provide you with our usual attentive service.

We stayed for 3 nights in the family room, with two separate bedrooms and bathrooms. The room was clean and well equipped. The resort is located along a magnificent river, with many activities available (swimming, free kayaking along the mangrove). It's 6km away from Koh Kong, on the other side of the river, but you enjoy a very quiet and natural surrounding. We didn't go for the paying activities offered by the resort (boat trips, island trip), which were far too expensive and not worth the asked price but rented motorbikes instead to discover the great Koh Kong area (fishing village, waterfalls) and had great fun. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even if the service during the meals was very slow and disorganized - because of some under-staffing (New Year). Thmorda Garden Riverside Resort is a great place to relax and a good base to discover the Koh Kong area.

This is really one of the most relaxing places I ever been too. Down at the pier there are huts with hammocks where people can stay the whole day, eating delicious crab, seafood or Thai dishes, sipping inexpensive beer, cocktails or fresh juices and go for a swim or a kayak ride from time to time. Thmorda Garden Riverside Resort offers simple, yet clean and cozy rooms for a very cheap price. All the staff and the owner are very friendly, helpful and knowledgable about the region. Day trips can be organised with the Thmorda Tour guide, who also happens to be a real seafood bbq professional (the lunch included in the waterfall trip was superb). You can also ask the owner who has many years of experience in travel and tourism in Thailand and Cambodia for other great travel destinations to continue your trip. I will definitely come back to Thmorda Garden Riverside some day.

We stayed here for three nights and we all loved it. Location is great, food is amazing and most importantly the staff and management are the friendliest and most helpful people that I met in Cambodia. They are four ladies running the place and they will help you with going around koh kong and even to the island. Its 5 minutes out of the city but they will pick u up for free.

We stayed for 6 nights. This was a last minute change from our travel plans and it was a gem. The food was wonderful and reasonably priced. The service from the staff was attentive and friendly with all efforts made to accomodate or needs. The view was lovely especially the sunrise in the morning. The rooms were those you would expect from a $30 per night hotel in Cambodia. It was an extremely pleasant and relaxing time. A bit of canoeing and a trip to Koh Kong Island plus the complimentary sunset cruise up the river. To be honest we wanted nothing more though normally we would have a more active holiday with treking etc but this was a joy that meant we did not really want to leave.

Originally we had booked for 3 nights but after the second day we cancelled our next hotel and stayed the remainder of our time.

Highly recommended.

Room Tip: If you can afford the Delux River river room the do so. It does not need a swimming pool because you...

We stayed there for 2 nights on our way to Thailand and we enjoyed really much.
The location of Thmorda is a bit far from the "city" and you have to use some kind of transportation if you want to go there but i don't understand why would you because the place is so beautiful and relaxing. There is a great restaurant (we loved the food and couldn't stop eating :)) with reasonable prices, bar, hammocks all around where you can read or just do nothing and there are kayaks that you can use free of charge if you are into some sports exploring.
While preparing the trip we've read that rooms are terribly small but we decided to check ourselves and we even asked for an extra bed in that small room because we were 3. The room was small but it was clean and sufficient for 3 people - we couldn't really dance around but there were 3 beds (normal size), 3 big bags and 3 smaller bags and 3 people and it was ok.
We also booked a day trip to the island with them and enjoyed it very very much - boat trip, lunch on the island (great fish!) and visit to the mangrove.
Noon (I think that is the name and that she is the owner or Manager) was really nice and helpful.
Thmorda was wonderful and I'll definitely come again if on that route. The only regret we have this time is not staying there a bit more.
