Appalling weather for the week we were there. The cottage provided a haven of comfort and distraction from the dreadful weather.A wonderful and delicious welcome pack on our arrival.
Stayed at this lovely cosy cottage over New Years and absolutely loved it.
The very friendly Laetitia met us despite our running late and showed us round this gorgeous place just 200m from Sea Palling Beach.
There were so many sweet touches, lovely welcome basket and even a bottle of bubbly for New Years.
The place was even decorated for Christmas which made it feel more special.
We really enjoyed the complementary Netflix, the comfy sofas, long walks on the beach with our two Bulldogs and cooking up local produce in the excellent kitchen facilities.
We would highly recommend visiting the Lord Nelson Pub (food was generous and very reasonably priced) about 1hrs walk away or 10mins by Car and from there we walked to see the Seals with their pups at Horsey Beach- amazing! You can walk about 4 miles up the beach to this from the cottage (if your dogs can keep up haha).
We had never had been to Norfolk before and absolutely loved it, a great place to explore especially as you’re easily placed to travel North or South but you really don’t have to go far with the beautiful coastline right next to you.
We've just returned from a 7 night stay at Rocket Cottage. This is a lovely quaint property very warm and cosy considering how cold it was on some days. Loved the brick floor which was easy to clean when you have a dog. The property has everything you need to self cater and feel at home. The beach is just a stones throw from the beautiful beach at Sea Palling which was clean and deserted at this time of year. Fantastic place for dogs. The added bonus was we saw lots of deals during our stay which we've never seen before on any other coast line.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Lovely property in top condition. Nice features. Very comfortable.
Nothing was too much trouble for the owners, who look after us very well. Cannot think of anything that we needed that was not provided. Lovely welcome pack was a surprise.
Dog friendly too - downstairs of course.
Location is great. Could not get nearer to the beach. And with car parking at the property !
Will definately be going back.
We have just returned from a week at Rocket House with our 2 children ages 3 and 9 years.
Having never been to Norfolk before we simply could not have found a better placed or more comfortable cottage!! Situated as near to the beach as you can get (and the beach at Sea Palling is stunning!) Rocket House is a cosy home from home with absolutely EVERYTHING you need for your stay!! Laetitia who owns the cottage goes out of her way to welcome you with a fantastic gift basket and a run down of whats where/how things work etc ensuring a very happy stay!
Across the road from the cottage you will find a cafe, local pub, chippy, beach shop and small arcade which are ideally placed and very handy with lovely friendly staff. A very clean park which caters for all ages is just behind too.
Most local attractions are all within a 30 minute drive - hire ofday boats, Bewilderwood, Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach etc.
Would we return?? 100% we would - and that was with a nearly 7 hour drive!
Thank you again Laetitia we will be back! X
We've just returned from a visit to Rocket House and we're already planning our next trip!
The cottage is very well equipped (wifi, DVD player, board games etc) and the owners are SO lovely - helpful, friendly and knowledgable!!
We went with our 2 boys (6 and 4) and the bedrooms and living spaces were spot on for their energetic and boystrous needs! The kitchen is well equipped too but we opted for BBQ more often than not.
The location is just stunning, you literally cannot get nearer to the beach; it's the last house before a small row of shops, and pub and then the beach - so not only were we sorted for parking (which gets very busy on sunny days) but it's just a few paces to the handy local amenities and then the fantastic beach.
Can't wait to go back again - the boys are already asking when we're going back!!
