Had a perfect short break at Rosehill, excellent customer service and 5* accomodation, beautiful cabin in a beautiful location, close to the beach and local bar. Everything was high quality and the owners clearly take a lot of pride in the cabins and have thought of lots of little details and extras that were really appreciated. We had the best weekend ever and made happy memories, we will defintely recommend Rosehill and will be looking to stay again. Emily P

Room Tip: All the cabins are equally luxurious and high quality.

We have just returned home after a lovely week at Rosehill. We were shown round the lodge on arrival by John which was very useful. They are fully equipped and located in what we consider to be an ideal location just minutes from the sea. Perfect

Big thanks for your five star review. Really pleased you had a fantastic time. The photos you took look brilliant and says it all. Looks like you are having fun in the hot tub. Glad you found the initial show around useful. We have found that our guests really appreciate a quick intro as to the workings of the lodge. Thank you again for giving us such a brilliant "perfect" endorsement and we look forward to seeing you all again. Best Wishes.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay in our comfortable & extremely well equipped lodge. We were a group of 5 ladies & because you can have single or double beds in all the rooms it was perfect for us. Spotlessly clean, quality bed linen, loads of crockery supplied & they even have sharp knives for cooking (or slicing lemon for a G&T). We loved the hot tub & used it every day! They were even kind enough to supply champagne flutes especially for us. The log burner is lovely with loads of wood supplied. We loved it & will return. Thank you Rosehill.

Many thanks for your "fabulous" review. Being a senior contributor to Trip Advisor your great comments are really appreciated. You mentioned the flexibility on bed configurations. We are happy to make the beds as either super king size doubles or singles to suit our guests personal requirements. Thank you for mentioning the quality of the linen. Maintaining this quality ensures that we constantly, year on year for the past 9 years, are awarded the Gold Award to go with our Five Stars. Receiving this recognition from our guests is very important to us. Really pleased you loved the hot tub and the free logs for the log burner, not to mention the sharp knives for cutting the lemon for the G+T,s.Thank you very much for your recommendation and we certainly look forward to welcoming you back to Rosehill. Best wishes from all the team

My 85 yr old disabled Mum was having a new bathroom fitted and we decided to go away for a week whilst the work was being carried out.I carried out extensive research to find somewhere appropriate for my Mum's needs - she has very limited mobility and found Rosehill Lodges! Absolutely wonderful! Everything we could have hoped for and more! Mobility aids were kindly provided for Mum in her luxury bathroom, plenty of room to move around, privacy in a beautiful location and an utterly relaxing time for us all!

I am desperate to return, this time with my husband for a romantic break particularly in the magnificent hot tubs! Would I recommend Rosehill? You bet!
Perfect! Even for those who are not so able bodied

Thank you so much for such a great review. So pleased your Mum enjoyed herself and found the disability aids useful. Relaxation is what its all about and holidays are the time to unwind and re-charge the batteries. Really pleased that you are thinking of a return visit for a romantic break, you will be most welcome. Hope when you returned home that you found your Mum,s bathroom had all been fitted out and complete and looking lovely. Thank you so much for your recommendation and we look forward to seeing you in the future. Best Wishes from all the team at Rosehill.

We spent New Year 2013 here and loved it as much as previous visits. As returning guests we were delighted to be welcomed back with a bottle of local sparkling wine. It was also lovely to be provided with super-snuggly dressing gowns and slippers, which we were free to take home with us and are a lovely reminder of our trip on a daily basis, whilst the new and improved, free super fast broadband is also great.

The lodges are warm and cozy, superbly equipped and so incredibly clean you'll think no-one else has ever stayed in them! The hot tubs are smashing, and the wood burner gives a lovely ambience.

I've noticed a couple of people say that being shown round the lodge takes too long. Personally I think it shows how much the team at Rosehill obviously care about what they do, and the warm, comprehensive welcome Graham provided made us feel that our custom was appreciated and that it was important to Rosehill that we enjoy our stay.

There's lots to do in the area and it's particularly nice to visit in Autumn/Winter, when Cornwall is so much quieter and the wilder weather blows the cobwebs away and makes the lodges feel like your own private sanctuary.

I'd recommend Wheal Lydia - the terrace is really private and it has a lovely, constantly babbling brook in the garden - not to mention the squirrel who visits every morning and puts his paws on the window to look in, and the tawny owls who call to each other in the evenings. Just perfect.

Big thanks for your great review. So pleased that you really enjoyed yourselves. Being a return guest and a senior Trip Advisor contributor your comments are really appreciated. Christmas and New Year are really special in Cornwall with deserted beaches and the dramatic coastline and we were really pleased you spent this time at Rosehill. Yes the wildlife around the lodges is absolutely amazing, we are very fortunate and pleased you made friends with a squirrel and that the Tawny Owls made their presence felt. Since we introduced the free super fast fibre broadband over wi fi this has been a great hit with all our guests. Its unlimited so you can download internet video. Pleased you appreciated the welcome show around by Graham, i will ensure your comments are passed on to him. You mentioned the high standard of cleanliness and I will pass on your comments on to our housekeeping team, they will be well pleased. Many thanks again and we look forward to welcoming you back to Rosehill. Best wishes from all the team.

My husband and I wanted a quiet, relaxing, luxury break and Wheal Fox at Rosehill lodges was a perfect choice. Best part has to be the uber efficient woodburner (and limitless supply of wood) that kept the lodge very cosy and warm.
Hot tub is quite possibly the best I've experienced in self catering accommodation - easy to operate, nice and warm (choose your temperature up to 40c) looking out onto woods. Kitchen well equipped and comfy sofas. Run by friendly people that clearly care about their lodges and the park.
Despite the February weather, we still managed to get a great walk in along the southwest coast path which is only 5 mins away.

Big thanks for your lovely review. Really pleased you enjoyed yourselves and braved the weather we had at the time. Fortunately Rosehill was not all affected by the storms. We often get asked about the logs for the log burner and i am glad you mentioned this. Rosehill offers an all inclusive holiday package so yes the logs are included and as you mention theres plenty of them. Its worth a mention that even in the depths of winter you do not need to light the log burner to heat the lodge. The lodges are so warm and cosy. Thanks again for your great review and we look forward to seeing you again in the future. Best wishes from all the friendly staff at Rosehill.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon in one of the lodges which obviously made it very special anyway, but we both regard our week there as the best holiday that we've ever had. The lodge felt like home from home, whilst the hot tub was truly the icing on the cake. I have a spinal condition, and the combination of the relaxing atmosphere, a twice-daily soak in the hot tub and the firm-yet-very comfortable bed meant that I left Porthtowan feeling far more comfortable and in considerably less pain than when we'd arrived.

Another plus-point is the availability of CRB checked childcare from a local nursery nurse, who looked after our young daughter on two evenings whilst my wife and I went out for meals at local restaurants. Our daughter was very happy and felt completely at ease with her, being read to at bedtime and evidently very well - and competently - looked after. Importantly, we also felt comfortable leaving our daughter in her care, having met and talked with the nursery nurse beforehand.

Not being car owners, we found getting around by public transport completely unproblematic. On arrival, we got a taxi from Redruth rail station, had our food shopping delivered by the local Sainsbury's, used local buses to travel up and down the coast to various places (St. Ives perhaps being the highlight), and then used the local taxi firm to return us to Redruth at the end of the holiday.

The Blue Bar in Porthowan was good for drinks and daytime snacks, as well as doing fine evening meals; Archie Brown's veggie café and shop in Truro was excellent; and Sally's restaurant (now called Taste) in St. Agnes was also great and well worth journeying out to.

We still talk about our week at the lodge and get rather misty-eyed on a regular basis. We are currently dreaming of the hot tub, the barbecue, the blue flag beach that's a short walk from the lodges, the mighty fine ice cream parlour and our planned return for our fifth wedding anniversary.

What a really great review and yes, of course you can come back, you will be very welcome. We were so pleased we helped to make your honeymoon really special. Our recommended babysitter was clearly a great benefit. We often get asked by guests the availability of public transport prior to a booking and we were really pleased with your comment. We will point them in the direction of this review. Thanks again, we really do appreciate such positive comments and we look forward to welcoming you all back for your fifth anniversary. All the best from all of us at Rosehill.
