Visited this wonderful little tea garden whilst staying at the lovely Porth Towan camping site next door, direct access is available from the site though discreetly through a little gate. There is ample choice of seating to suit most group sizes, the garden is lovely and secluded , our little dog and ourselves were welcomed warmly. The cakes are absolutely delicious and portion sizes are extremely generous, best cream tea ever with real strawberries. A real gem and only hope we have time to visit again before returning to " the frozen North".

Reviewed 1 July 2014

Whilst staying at Porthtowan Tourist Park we visited Olive's Garden for a cream tea a really pretty setting and adjacent to Porthtowan Tourist Park. We had a delicious cream tea the homemade scones are yummy they also serve light lunches and homemade cakes when we spoke to the proprietors they told us they are hoping to do Sunday lunches soon we will definitely be going there again a lovely setting well worth a visit.

“Olive's Garden only gets better!”
Reviewed 25 June 2014

I reviewed Olive's Garden last year but this year's visit warrants another! Johnny has gotten even more inventive with his stunning cakes which makes it very difficult to choose - they all look so good! The garden has such a lovely, peaceful setting and for the inclement days they have added some very cosy, traditionally furnished rooms in the cottage. Well done Penny and Johnny you have my vote for the best ever afternoon tea venue.

“Wonderful experience!”
Reviewed 4 June 2014

We had read the reviews for Olive's Garden prior to travelling to Porthtowan, so we decided to visit for a late lunch. The setting is lovely, and there is the option for outside seating, although we decided to sit in the cosy tearoom. My son had the soup of the day with fresh crusty bread (not a morsel left in the bowl or on the plate!) and my husdand, daughter and I decided to try the baguettes which were all delicious. We then shared a couple of cream teas between the four of us, and this surpassed expectations! The scones were amazing - I cannot recommend them highly enough! Our hostess was extremely friendly - we will definitely visit again when we are next in Porthtowan.

“What a find !!!!”
Reviewed 20 May 2014 via mobile

If you want a proper Cornish cream tea then this is the place for you !
We were lucky with the weather so sitting in the garden with our three Irish Terriers was a pleasure. The scones are to die for !!
The host and hostess made us very welcome and would definitely return one day.
