“Nice place to hang out with kids”
Reviewed 18 May 2014

Today we visited this park. It has got a very nominal entry fee and it is well maintained with beautiful flowers and landscaped gardens.

The jirrafe ride is a great ride for kids aged 2-12.

This is a great place for casual outings.

“Regular park,is not a tourist attraction, only a hangout for locals.”
Reviewed 29 April 2014

Its just a regular park with some statues of deer, tiger and men. Maintenance is O.k. Highlight is the Giraffe train ride for children, charges Rs 5 for 5 rounds, children's were enjoying a lot.

“Rock Garden - mistake in the name plate of Nakshatravan”
Reviewed 4 November 2013

Place is very good for evening and morning stroll with very good number of plants. There is a medicinal plants section which is also good and named well. The nursery is closed which is not good as some people wants to buy plants. There is a nakshatravan with trees dedicated to the stars. However the Tree for star Aries is shown as Emblica officinalis (Avla) whereas the actual tree planted is Phyllanthus acidus or Star gooseberry. Although both are from the same family, both the trees are different. Kindly make the correction in the name plate.

“This place rocks!”
Reviewed 15 September 2013

This garden is definitely a welcome addition to the landscape of Navi Mumbai, although it bears no resemblance to the famous rock garden of Chandigarh. Situated at a convenient location near Nerul railway station, this garden spread over an area of about 10 acres is an island of greenery. The landscaping of the garden shows that a great deal of thought and innovativeness has gone into its designing. There is a bit of everything – lily ponds and rose gardens, flower beds and decorative trees, gazebos and rock sculptures, a bed for medicinal plants, a bridge and a pond for birds, children’s play area and a toy train, nice pathways and even a beautiful ampitheatre. The most interesting feature of the garden is probably the area where the 12 zodiac signs are depicted with respect to the trees that are associated with each.
I have been visiting this garden on and off since the days it came into being and seen the garden bloom into a truly beautiful space of which the residents of Navi Mumbai can be truly proud.
The garden should be open throughout the day instead of a few hours in the mornings and evenings. One end of the garden is reserved for a nursery where plants were available for sale until recently. Unfortunately in our most recent visit, we were informed that the sale has been stopped. This was a place where plants were available at a a very reasonable rate. The lighting of the garden in the evening can also be improved. Also, proper signs are required in the main road to direct motorists to the parking space which is near the back entrance.
