We decided to stay at St Benet's Abbey at short notice, having previously stayed there 10 years ago. The booking was handled very efficiently over the phone and we were warmly welcomed on our arrival by owners Lynn & JJ. In the light of another review, we were offered the chatty version or the quiet version of JJ - we chose chatty!!
The Abbey is set back from the road (watch out for the turning - it comes up on you quickly) in quiet grounds with a tidy garden and ample parking.
The room was clean and comfortable - one of the most comfortable hotel beds we've slept on - and the breakfast was excellent.
All in all, St Benet's Abbey is a great base for exploring Cornwall and well worth searching out. Good luck to Lynn & JJ for the future - we look forward to coming back.More
