“A charming B&B”

This is a very old farmhouse with character and low beams. Nora has lived there for 60+ years. Lovely collection of memorabilia. Pleasant enough when you get to chat with her but may appear a little abrupt at first. I was a solo traveller and had an adequate room with bathroom downstairs but I think a poor rating is a little harsh - I hope that I am as active in another 20 years or so. I might suggest that Nora explores cereals other than cornflakes and Rice Krispies and perhaps offers more fruit and wholemeal toast instead of very mediocre white - take it or leave it style. This would make a big difference to the way people perceive her breakfasts. The English breakfast was tasty. Thank you, Nora for your enthusiasm for life having lost your lifelong husband only 3 years ago. The music at breakfast was relaxing by Daniel O'Donnell - I think.

I agree with the previous review, this is a disappointing B&B. At £80 for one double, without en suite, it is not cheap. Even though I attempted to book early, there was little alternative but to stay here as accommodation is very limited if walkng the SW Coastpath. Even this place was a good 30 mins walk off the path. (Beware, if walking from the West, the signpost marked Zennor actually brings you out on the road about a mile + too early for this B&B).
The elderly lady who runs the B&B is friendly, but the room is basic, i.e. no tv, powdered milk (for a dairy farm!), but clean. Although on the first floor we were directed to use a bathroom through the living room on the ground floor.
We've no problem with leaving our boots at the door, but my recommendation would be to book even earlier and find somewhere else.

Room Tip: Get there early as it's first come first served with rooms.

We stopped in Zennor on our hike on the South West Coast Path. Entering the B&B you feel like going back 50 years or more. As a welcome you get asked to take your hiking boots (even clean) off at the entrance. We were put in the twin room even though we had reserved a double. The room was small, very basic and cold, no TV or wifi, aged tea making equipment and aged tea/sugar. It is situated on 1st floor next to a toilette, you can hear every single drop while lying in your bed! To have a shower you need to use the only bathroom in the house on the ground floor, towels are rather small. The breakfast consists of aged cornflakes (choice between normal cornflakes and rice crispies) followed by a plate with 1 egg, 1 rasher of bacon, 3 slices of mushrooms and half a tomato. All this for GBP 80. During our hikes along the Coastal path we visited many B&Bs. This one was definitely not value for money!
