“A Private Tropical Paradise, with Something for Everyone and the most Breathtaking Sunsets"”
Reviewed 28 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

Staying at Casa Hola Ola was the best vacation I've ever had. Seriously this place is amazing. The house is very new, bright and clean with a beautiful design.

My Boyfriend and I stayed in one of the two master bedrooms (I've included a photo). We had an amazing view of the pool area and could see right out to the beach & ocean. During the day we always kept the doors open to enjoy the view and sunshine, and at night we chose to have the staff close the roll-away doors to give us greater privacy. The private washroom in our master suite was clean and luxurious with an open design. The shower was very large! There was also a lot of closet/storage space.

The main kitchen area is insanely cool. It looks beautiful and is equipped with high-end appliances and every type of dish and cutlery you can think of. There is a granite island with seats, which was perfect for eating at during breakfast, as well as a large indoor dinning room table. The staff kitchen is large as well and is tucked out of the way. The chef was very friendly and consistently prepared amazing meals for us.

In the lower part of the Great room there is a ton of seating space. The sofas were great to cuddle up on in the morning with a coffee and book, and great gathering spot after dinner in the evenings! (We were only traveling with a group of 5, but there was easily enough space for double or more people.)

In addition to the dinning space inside, there is also a full-size outdoor dinning table. This is usually where we ate lunch so we could enjoy the sun and of course the view! A great place for afternoon drinks with friends and family!

The pool area is awesome! There are many huge, padded lounge chairs (can fit 2 or 3 people) for sun bathing. The poor itself is large enough to do laps...although I used it mainly to cool off in while enjoying a cerveza (the pool has a swim up bar!).

The Casa is located on a beautiful private beach. We spent a lot of time on the beach and playing in the Ocean waves. On a couple days we even went Boogieboarding!

Finally, the location of Casa Hola Ola is great because you can enjoy the luxury of a private paradise, but still be close to the Town of Puerto Escondido (approximately 15 mins. by taxi) and lots of other fun activities. During our one week stay we went into town on several days to go shopping/visit the market as well as enjoy the local restaurants and bars. On two separate days we took surf lessons at La Punta, Playa Zicatela (so much fun!). We also drove into the Mountains and went on a hike to a breathtaking waterfall! My personal favorite activity was going dolphin watching (we did a tour with Omar's Sport Fishing and Dolphin Watching), where we actually got so close that a school of dolphins was swimming directly beside and under our boat!

Please also take a look at my photos (although it is impossible to truly capture the beauty of this place!)

Liked best: Being in such close proximity to the Ocean. We swam every day in the Ocean, took walks along the beach and of course enjoyed amazing views and sunsets.
Liked least: Having to leave after only a week. A two week vacation here (or longer) would be perfect.

“Living like the rich and famous”
Reviewed 25 January 2014 for a stay in January 2014

Spent a week at this house in January...
House is spectacular.. it's brand new and meticulously maintained. The beach is huge with hardly anyone on it...
I felt like a movie star...
The house is extremely comfortable, and everything that one needs is there. it is an "open concept " house, with full access to the pool and the beach from just about everywhere you look... I only wish we had our kids and our friends there. it can easily accommodate several couples or a large family.
We opted to have the chef cook most of our meals for us.. and it was fantastic.. he went into town everyday, bought fresh fish, and fresh produce every day and cooked fantastic meals for us every day..

There are two huge bedrooms facing the beach and the pool and four large bedrooms with partial views.. there is also a media room where you can watch movies at night, which was a lot of fun...

But the biggest attraction by far was watching the sunsets every night and seeing whales breach offshore, as if on cue....

would definitely come back here..

How easy was it to book the property? How helpful were the directions to the property?
