We we recommended to go here as it's the sister pub to our local Thomas Lord in West Meon.
Venison pâté, roast beef and pumpkin brûlée, 8, 7 and 9 out of ten respectively.
Vegetables were overlooked and lacked bite and flavour - the Thomas Lord is much much better.
The low ceilings are an issue, the exposed beams are thankfully padded but the noise of vocal punters, per articulately a yummy mummy's biirthday party, despite being on th othe Sid of th room, was too intrusive.
Service was unjointed up, coffees arriving before puddings and no fewer than four waitresses serving us.
Usual Upham, ales and wine list - no quibbles here.
