“a relaxing week in Pelion”
Reviewed 27 November 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Our party of 5 (2 adult couples and a senior) have visited Greece for the first time last September. As one of us suffers from a very bad motion sickness, travelling to the islands was not a choice and we chose to stay on the mainland. Of course we wanted to experience the beaches and the sea. Finding this beautiful Villa to stay in was a special treat as it provided us with a variety of experiences. From the start communication with he owner was clear, and we were provided with detailed information about the property, and the region. The links to activities and the points of interest were very rich so every one of us found something we wanted to explore. The owner helped us to organize and choose number of activities. No questions went unanswered. We were really grateful for his effort.
The directions to the Villa were clear and we were welcomed to the Villa by the owner on our arrival and provided even more information. We immediately felt at home at the Villa that is quite stunning in the design; modern but very warm and very comfortable. The location of Pelion Homes high on the mountain side provides an unobstructed view of the seashore. We spent every minute (when at the Villa) at one of the terraces admiring the view. With Villa's great interior design sometimes it was difficult to decide what was more attractive - the inside or outside. The rooms, the bathrooms, the kitchen and the outside space were very well organized, and stocked beyond our expectations.
Although there is a bit of driving required to get to the beach anyone who chooses to visit Pelion will likely want to explore many beaches in the region anyway so the driving is unavoidable. Every beach we visited was well worth the effort. We are hoping to go back to explore the ones we missed. With Stathis' help we went on a guided bike trip with Alex from Montis Ordo. We started from the Villa high on the mountain to the sea to have a swim. Biking down the hairpins was exhilarating, even if interrupted by some yummy snacks in the local coffee shop. We have learned and seen so much about the local people, Pelion's history and current day life during the ride. It was one of the highlights of our stay.
One could comfortably stay at the Villa all day long and just relax, or chose to explore what the region has to offer. Overall it was truly a wonderful vacation, we could have stayed there much longer.

“Magnificent property”
Reviewed 7 October 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We had chosen Thalia villa for our first summer vacations with our twins and we couldn't imagine a more ideal property for that. Well-organised & perfect equipped villa with a breathtaking view to the entire Pagasitikos Bay is the ideal selection to explore the endless natural beauties of Mount Pelion. The property owner with his distinguished hospitality made us to feel more than like home. Hope to see you soon again!!!

“Perfect!”
Reviewed 17 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Villa Thalia was simply perfect. Situated in the mountain of Pelion, it was a beautiful getaway from the hot temperatures and busy roads nearby the sea. The villa is spotlessly clean, very wel equipped in traditional Pelion style. The owner was very helpful, kind and flexible. On arrival all essentials including milk, bread, cheese etc where present to get us started but also tradional made sweets and marmalade. The villa is suitable for all seasons. There are plenty of hiking, moutainbiking, swimming or simply relaxing in the garden opportunities. We stayed there with our two children of 5 and 6 years old. I would recommend the villa to my friends.

“A dream house in style and nature”
Reviewed 28 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

First of all, the house is located at a really magical spot, at the top of a mountain surrounded by trees and with an astonishing view over the Pagasitikos bay, so it actually combines mountain & sea at the same time! The house itself is very cozy, very functional, fully equipped and is decorated with a great taste, with traditional touches but mainly in a contemporary manner. The bedrooms are so nice and the shower was pleasantly spacious! Generally there were so many details at the decoration and the equipment that really made a difference, eg. the kitchen had 2 different coffee machines, a set of professional knifes, a dishwasher, spices, a beautiful set of plates, cups and glasses and many other amenities, all chosen in style that really made the kitchen one of my favorite places to be! :) There was a hard disk full of movies and music, a washing machine, iron & board and even a hidden board full of tools! We stayed at villa Thalia during winter, so we loved gathering with our friends around the fireplace in the evenings to watch a film or chat, sitting at the very relaxing and large living room sofa. As it was snowy outside, we didn’t use the beautiful terrace with the barbeque but we will certainly visit villa Thalia again in order to indulge ourselves in its warm hospitality and explore the surroundings during spring or summer. Needless to say that we really felt like home and enjoyed our staying so much that we highly recommend staying at villa Thalia, especially if someone loves nature and peace. Thanks a lot to the hosts for the lovely experience!

“More than a home away from home”

It's difficult to do this place as well as the family business justice but I'll try. We enjoyed 4 fantastic days here for an autumn break. The house itself was immaculate, with every thing you'll ever need (and actually more than we had at our own home!). A beautiful house in a tranquil setting, we never got tired of the view from the veranda. The house is spacious, well designed and beautifully furnished and the perfect place to come back to after a long hike in the surrounding countryside and villages. The village of Agios Georgios is a complete contrast to the heavily commercialized side of Pilio where you'll find Portaria and Makrinitsa villages, and that's what makes a holiday here a real escape. The owner is simply beyond hospitable, we were with our 15-month old son an not only was a baby cotbed provided, but a baby bath, high chair and toys. Oh yes, and a baby backpack for our little guy so we could carry him with us on our hikes! We literally could not have asked for more. The house is not only equipped with the essentials, but lovely touches such as local spices, teas, spirits and a load of other things that it's better to find out for yourself as a surprise. And believe me you won't be disappointed. Would I recommend this place and the owners. You bet, it, and they, are magical. Thanks again for an unforgettable experience! Well be back soon!

“one of the most tranquil and relaxing weeks of my life”
Reviewed 18 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

I stayed at the gorgeous Villa Thalia for just over a week, it was my first trip to Greece and coming from South Africa ( Cape Town ) I am familiar with a beautiful beach or two… but the beaches that I visited during my stay were nothing short of breath taking!
There are several you can visit yet no two alike but all offering something unique.
Take your goggles and flippers to snorkel around little caves, others are so discreete you feel have your own private beach, they offer calm warm waters and beautiful sunsets.
while other beaches are a little more lively with white pebbled beaches, turquoise waters, beach bars and music. there is something for anyone and any mood.
and what better than after a long day on the beach to end at a Taverna in one of the village squares with some delicious Greek cuisine all fresh and local produce and an ice cold beer, or just as nice was to dine alfresco at the villa while gazing out at the beautiful 360view of pelion.
I can not say enough good things about my trip, the only thing I would change is perhaps I would have stayed a few more days… A week felt too short in this little paradise!
