Another wonderful stay at one of our favorite hotels. Spent 7 days here in June and thoroughly enjoyed our stay again. Definitely off season...the hotel was only at 10% capacity, but still fully staffed. Spent a lot of time in both Ixtapa & Zihuantanejo for food and drink, but really enjoyed the time spent at the resort. The usual great service, great staff and great views. Hope to make it back again soon!

We were given two rooms on the 17th floor. In one room, the safe deposit box and telephone did not work. During our stay, there was a large rain event one night and both rooms lost power the next day (air conditioning, lights, TV, etc). We are grateful that we were given different rooms, but spent considerable time coordinating the move and packing to move - time better spent on the beach. Last day, we discovered a scorpion inside our room. We reported this to the administration and we think the rooms should be checked better to ensure that the rooms are safe. We were fortunate that nothing happened to us. The staff in general does not have a good service-oriented attitude. And the food in the restaurants is average and usually cold. The poor service attitude extends to the restaurants that happen to be open. Beware that if the busy season has not started, not all restaurants will be open. We did appreciate the design of the property and the lack of vendors on the private beach.

Room Tip: Do not get a room on the 17th floor (the main lobby is on the 18th). The higher the room, the better the view. All rooms have an ocean view which is nice.

We had a very nice stay. Rooms were very nice, staff were all great. Would go back for another stay, totally relaxing and really liked the fishing village (Zihuantanejo) for an outing away from the hotel.

Room Tip: every room has an ocean view.

I have stayed at the Hotel Las Brisas four times over the last few years alone on business, as a couple and with kids and will certainly keep going back. The hotel itself, designed by world-renowned architect, Ricardo Legorreta, takes great advantage of the physical landscape of the surroundings. The hotel cascades down a ridge offering every room a spectacular view. Flagstone walkways switch back down the hill through trees and lush landscaping. The crescent shaped beach, flanked by huge rock outcroppings, is private for the hotel guests and is spectacular.

The hotel décor offers a twist of modern and traditional Mexican style. The hotel offers six restaurants, a beautiful main patio perfect for watching the sunset and two lovely pools connected by a spillway.

A significant advantage of the hotel is its position between the traditional fishing village of Zihuatanjo and the more tourists styled resort feel of Ixtapa. Both are less than a ten minute taxi ride. Though the idea of a taxi, much less a taxi in Mexico, can cause the average tourist some trepidation, the tourism board has made sure all taxis are clean, well maintained and the drivers friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: An area of caution due to the popularity of the hotel is it attracts large events. It is worth asking if any are planned during your visit. This is not a deal breaker, but it would be worth asking for a room well away from the grounds where outdoor festivities are held.

Service at the restaurants not efficient at all specially the one for the lunch. Not too many things to select from the menu and premium plates (basically shrimp) are not part of the all inclusive plan. Beverages in pools and beach are served until 6 pm.
Beside this, someone broke into our room and got some items stolen.

So disappointed ...
