“natural, relaxing, beautiful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 October 2013

Me and my friends really enjoyed the place. The previous day we had visited Xcaret and were disappointed by the high prices and the artificiality of the place. Kantun chi has natural cenotes and a wonderful grotto. The guides are very friendly.
If you are thinking of visiting the Riviera, do not be misled by advertising, ask the locals for these hidden places.

“Beautiful!!! Not cheap, but worth the cost”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 October 2013

In this place you get multiple possibilities in one place. You can swim in various cenotes, one open cenote, 3 semi-open cenotes and an amazing underground river. The facilities are great, with restaurant, beach chairs and hammocks, lockers. Vety nice, worth the money, time and the drive.

“Pricey But Good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 October 2013

I had been wanting to visit Kantun Chi for several years now, and we finally were able to visit this park in September 2013. Our guide, Cesear, was friendly, and knowledgeable (and spoke excellent English too). The underground cenotes were really beautiful and it was so interesting to hear of the Mayan's beliefs and how they used these caverns.

The four other cenotes are all accessed above-ground. There is one all-open cenote, which was very pretty. The other three cenotes are semi-covered. We did not swim in any of these cenotes because the mosquitos were very, very aggressive. We were given some eco-friendly repellent (which worked great), but we were afraid that if we went swimming that the repellent would wash off. So we walked around a bit, but didn't stay very long.

I am glad we went--I can check that one off my 'bucket list' now. But for the price, it isn't something I'd spend my money on to do a second time.

This place is surreal! We arrived on a rainy day and had the place pretty much to ourselves, only saw about 2 other people the entire time. Took the guided tour through the underground cenotes and it was unbelievable. The water was a bit high the day we were there, but our guide Cesar made sure we were always comfortable, even in the tighest of spaces. He was also well informed about the history and was entertaining. We picked this cenotes because it was supposed to be less crowded and very beautiful, which it really was! Head here if you want to miss the masses.

“Outstanding guide, incredible experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2013

There are several options to tour Cenotes in the area. First and foremost; you MUST visit the Cenotes. We almost skipped it (we were tired...the beach was calling) it would've been a huge mistake along the lines of visiting northwest Arizona and skipping the Grand Canyon.

A local suggested Kantun Chi to us and we were very happy with this selection. Our guide was outstanding; friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and spoke English fluently. The facilities are new and clean and the entire site was quiet and not crowded.

We visited with two children; ages 5 and 9. All are given live jackets and water shoes but there is a lot of uneven terrain and some "swimming" involved and visitors should be able at least to paddle themselves around when wearing a life jacket.
