So we have been to many different places, and this one by far is a memory.

The hotel wasnt as big as some of the 6 star resorts and doesnt have as many pools and ammenities, or as much entertainment, however the food is pretty good the service is excellent and staff. also something i really enjoyed they placed really nice tropicall music all day at the pool that made it feel like a true tropical vacation.

The excursions were also wonderfull and the rep from olympus tours was wonderfull his name was edgar we wont forget him till today and we went on this vacation a year ago! we have been traveling to mexico and other carribean destinations every 6 months for the last 2 years, and so far this place and breathless punta cana was the best, even though we did like the dreams resort in Puerto Vallarta also, but that will be there for another review.

I highly Reccommend this place, and if anyone is looking for a 5/6star resort stick with dreams they have done us the best so far.

If this place was adult only i would have probably gave it a 5 star review, adult only is amazing.

Room Tip: I would strongly reccoment the Oceanview with Balcony, it makes a wonderfull experience.

Amazing time, with friends and family. We had 17 people travel here with us for our wedding and everything was perfect. Isabel took care of everything just as she said she would, I wouldn't change a thing except that we would have stayed longer I thought 9 days would be enough but wasn't. The wedding dept did a fabulous job from decorations to music, flowers, cake. Our dinner reception was delicious, our guests are still talking about everything and how beautiful everything was. Our pictures were great as well! We love this resort and will be returning with many of our friends and family again.

We were in Dreams Puerto Aventuras from July 19-29th, and got married in the wedding gazebo on the 24th. What an amazing experience!! In total there were 18 of us who came to the resort from Canada for the wedding, including our daughter, parents, siblings, and friends, with ages ranging from 7-73. Everyone was extremely impressed with the level of service throughout their stay, and all expressed how much they enjoyed getting to know the staff that made a point to go out of their way to make our trip enjoyable. Everyone is still talking about the trip, and all feel it was one of the best trips they've ever had!

We picked Dreams Puerto Aventuras Resort for our wedding because of it's size, and we are so pleased with our decision. Alonzo and Ricardo at El Patio were absolutely amazing. El Patio became our family supper hangout due to the level of service and friendliness from these two guys. We even had our pre-wedding dinner there the night before our wedding. We were treated like family!

We spent the our entire vacation on the beach, and enjoyed all the amenities the resort had to offer. The beach servers were especially fantastic, always there with a smile, drinks, and appetizers. They always seem to know when we were needing a drink! Special mention is Jorge, Ricardo, and Gerando (GERRY!).

Each morning our family would meet in the World Cafe for breakfast, and always received a warm "buenos dias" from Juan and Jhoana. We always requested to sit in Amado's section. He was always ready to bring our favourite drinks before we even had a chance to order, and he always made time for a quick chat. Our favourite memory was the special friend our 8 year old daughter, Gabby, made at the pasta station. Gabby, one of the cooks working that station, was so thrilled to share a name with our daughter Gabby.

Now for the wedding. Our wedding was beyond our wildest "dreams." The atmosphere, the decorations, the flowers (oh, the flowers!!), the cocktail hour, the mariachi band, the wedding meal of steak and lobster were incredible!! Words, nor pictures, cannot describe or do justice to how amazing our wedding was. Isabel and Nalelley made sure all the details on the wedding day were perfect, and their personal touch when it came to decorating the gazebo for our ceremony, the swing bar for cocktail hour, and the gazebo again for our dinner was beyond anything we imagined. It really was breathtaking! The top notch wedding service continued during our gazebo dinner with Ramon and his serving crew. They were all very professional and made sure everyone's glasses were full the entire night.

Our only feedback is related to the wedding planning. Our suggestion would be that the wedding checklist include a reminder of the "cash only" legal fees associated with the wedding. We went through the checklist prior to arriving in Mexico, only to find that we did not have the roughly $500 US cash that was required prior to the wedding. It all worked out, but it would have been nice to receive that reminder before our arrival.

We highly recommend Dreams Puerto Aventuras for a destination wedding and family vacation!

We visited Dreams at Puerto Aventuras for seven days for my in-laws' 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration with a group of 11 total, aging from 3 to 77. This is the first time we have stayed at an all-inclusive, so I was a little skeptical. As expected, there were some good and not so good parts, with the overall impression being generally positive.

Some of the highlights:

1. Food in most of the restaurants was very good, high quality, with small portions elegantly served. Of course, you can order as much as you want, but I really appreciated the reasonably-sized courses so that you do not feel over-full and can really taste and enjoy all the parts of the meal, with room for dessert! The teenagers often ordered more than one main course, since they are, like most teenagers, of the mindset that more is better.

2. Speaking of the more-is-better philosophy, the teenagers also enjoyed the World Buffet, where they could eat tons of whatever at pretty much any time of day. I am not a fan of buffets, and only ventured there in the mornings for breakfast when there was only one other option. Even then, you can get a custom-made omelet or other eggs at the grill.

3. The teenagers also took advantage of the 24-hour room service, for instance, when they returned from the bar (drinking age in Mexico is 18) and wanted a snack, or other random times in the day. I only ordered room service once. It was fine, but nothing special.

4. The beach and pool are pretty nice, clean, and the whole environment, while lacking exoticism, is classically Caribbean resort pretty, if a little dated. There is an adult-only section for those who want to avoid the kids, which seemed kind of silly to me for someone to come to a family resort and then either avoid kids or avoid their own kids. I would think they would prefer to go to an adult-only resort, but then, nobody asked me :).

5. There is a nice feature that we did not use, the Explorers Club, basically free childcare up to 10:00 at night with a lot of fun activities for age 3 to I think 12. They looked like they did a lot of different things.

6. The Cafe! We are coffee snobs, and the baristas at Dreams really make good coffee. The kids wanted all kinds of frozen caramel macchi whatevers, but we loved the plain old lattes, real espresso, thank you! Unlimited caffeinated beverages from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm is just our speed, since we really don't do the alcohol thing, which is everywhere at an all-inclusive. The cafe also has very nice desserts, sometimes sandwiches, cookies, muffins, croissants and other pastries varying through the day. It was our favorite place, and I'm not exaggerating when I say we were in there probably 5 times a day.

7. The staff is almost without exception really friendly and nice. Very few sourpusses. Most seem to really like their jobs and like the service industry.

8. There were shows every night- everything from fire shows and small circus acts on the beach to magicians and dance performances. I was not blown away by the quality, but it was good wholesome fun for everyone. They also did nice activities during the day, like water aerobics, paella making, and constructing the "World's Largest Taco" and of course eating it.

Okay, you get the picture, it was a nice resort, all-inclusive, generally all good fun and good eats.

Here are the small downsides:

1. We tried to get the "Complimentary" vow renewal ceremony, which was supposed to be included with the booking, but then even though we had four rooms and 11 people, it somehow did not qualify, and they wanted to charge $500 for the vow renewal ceremony, which was basically just a minister in a gazebo by the ocean, other things extra, like $15 for a single flower, $5 per glass for a champagne toast, and $40+ per person if we wanted a special dinner after, which seemed like an unnecessary expense at an all-inclusive. The only thing that ended up being "complimentary" was that they allowed us to use the gazebo for free to hold our own vow renewal ceremony, once we declined the $500 version with the minister. They also did finally put a "Happy Anniversary" banner on their door and give them a few extra goodies and a special romantic breakfast in their room, but I had to ask for these perks for two days in a row after arriving, since they were not there when they got there as they had assured me it would all be prepared. Fortunately, my in-laws are not high maintenance and were not really expecting anything, just being happy to be together with the family for their special event.

And really, the reception of Dreams was not entirely surprising, because it's a big place and they probably favor those who are paying for extra services since this is how they make money, but they really were totally inflexible and not all that accommodating even though this was obviously the purpose of our whole visit and why all 11 of us were staying there that week.

I probably would not have gotten that bent out of shape, but the real insult was when the event planner called me about an hour before the ceremony. Earlier in the day, we noticed that the gazebo had been decorated with while tulle, very pretty. We were excited because we assumed it was for our event, since we had reserved the gazebo. The planner then informed me that the tulle had been put up for a wedding scheduled earlier in the day and they were going to take it down, but if I wanted, they would leave it up for our event for an additional $165. Now, they would not have to do anything special, since the tulle was already up. All they really had to do was wait an extra hour or so to take it down until our short ceremony was over. However, she informed me that unless I paid the $165, they would be taking all the white tulle down immediately before our event. I found that to be cheap, graceless, and inhospitable. We opted to have them take it down, since my mother in-law insisted that they had all the white tulle at their first wedding 50 years ago, and did not need it again. We had a nice ceremony anyway, but that was just really un-classy and uncalled for, since it would not have caused them any trouble to leave up what was already set up, especially given the size and expense of our party. Enough said. Thank you for letting me vent, I guess I'm still a little raw about it. I feel better now.

2. The only other really bad thing was that on one day 5 of the 11 of us got very ill. Since we were eating exclusively at the resort, there was no real ambiguity about where the illness came from. Five of the party got very bad cramps and diarrhea after eating at El Patio, the "authentic" Mexican restaurant. We were able to narrow it down and all who got sick had various chicken dishes. A little loose bowels can be expected sometimes visiting a foreign country, but this was almost half of our party being basically debilitated for a whole night and day of our trip. Not pleasant.

3. Oh yeah, only one more gripe- there is a sushi restaurant at Dreams, which sounds like a nice thing, but the service was rather unfriendly and the way things were presented was really odd. For instance, if two people ordered the same appetizer, say two pieces of satay, it was brought out four pieces on one plate and put in the middle of the table for us to figure it out. When all of our sushi came, it was not served on individual plates placed in front of each guest, but all on one plate put in the middle, with us left to sort out who had gotten what. Also, since the sushi selections were listed as "entrees" we were under the impression we were getting a substantial meal of several pieces of that particular kind of sushi with each order, but it was only one piece of sushi each. The waiters did not bother to explain it when we each ordered only one "entree" but instead just brought us the one piece each on a plate in the middle. It was kind of comical, and we could have ordered more, it being an all-inclusive, but we were just a little baffled and hungry so we left and some of us had another meal at another restaurant later.

While it may sound like there were some food issues (and there were) the food and service at the few restaurants we really enjoyed (the Seaside Grill, Oceana, and the Italian place, Portefino) were exceptional and mostly made up for it. The drinks were also endless, house wine for those who prefer it, beers, and every other drink under the sun, and they did have some very good non-alcoholic options. And the lattes were truly excellent.

All in all, we had a lovely family vacation and a wonderful event, despite the few setbacks and day of illness. While I doubt I will be visiting this or another all-inclusive any time in the near future, it was about what I anticipated it would be, not any worse, and maybe even a little better than I expected.

Room Tip: I appreciated the thick walls. The rooms were surprisingly quiet except for one night when there was...

My boyfriend and I purchased a vacation package for five days at Dreams PA from August 27th-31st 2014. From the moment we checked in we were taken care of, having been welcomed with a smile and a lending hand with our luggage. I give the service of the staff a 5 star rating at all of the restaurants and bars on site. Thank you Noe, Chile, Manuel, Liliann, Carlos and Ingrid for making our stay feel like a true "Dream" vacation. :) We wish that there were more activities going on during the day by the adult pool aside from bingo and the beach had a little too much seaweed but we would definitely go back.

Room Tip: High floors towards the center of the resort for best beach views.

We chose Dreams because we had gone to the Dreams at Punta Cana and it was wonderful.
Here once again we were pleased. Food is very good, I LOVE the fact that you can order room service for breakfast and do not need to go anywhere. I liked the fact that they had food events on the beach several times as different lunchtime options. Paela was great, as well as the fish tacos one day with many other dishes served. Never made it to World Cafe but it seemed that the offerings were plentiful. I prefer sit down food service. Barefoot grill- do NOT NOT put on their hot sauce on your hot dog. SOOOO hot that I could not breathe and that was trying it with a tip of my knife. YIKES!!!! This was a smaller resort than in Punta Cana, different but I liked Punta Cana better. Service at both was excellent. Spa massages good, Sushi restaurant okay but could have been better. I am not a sushi expert, service there was a little off as well. We do preferred club because you get extra perks, nicer room, breakfast buffet on your floor, afternoon snacks, evening desserts or after dinner drink to bring to your balcony. Never made it to the Mexcan restaurant the night we wanted to go it was pouring and it was a bit of a walk in the rain. We ate a Oceana the most, nice outdoor atmosphere and good seafood. We ate lunch mostly at the other outdoor type restaurant. Great shrimp cocktails and salad. Enjoyed our time here but it is smaller than Punta Cana, next year thinking Tulum Dreams. We did a cataraman/snorkeling outing for half a day. Wonderful, rlobster or steak lunch included and it was good!!! Ran into some rough water but that added to the fun, sit in back you will not get wet if rough weather starts to rock the ship. We had no problem with the drive from the airport, I know some people it is too long but then stay in Cancun. Only 8 people in the van. Make arrangements ahead of time.We went through Cheap Caribean but upgraded via emails through the hotel for PC Club, not too much beach to walk along but was okay outdoor bar at the end of the property it wonderful, peaceful and a great way to look at the ocean.

Room Tip: Facing the dolphin area upper floors. We had a balcony and we were facing the dolphins, the marina...
