Attraction details
Owner description: The pride of this complex is the Puerto Aventuras Golf & Racquet Club. The Golf Course, as its surroundings, is an exciting and challenging adventure in a friendly and peaceful environment. The course was designed by Thomas Lehman in 1991. This 9 hole, Par 36 course was the first Golf Course in the Riviera Maya. This magnificent traditional jewel has a classic design with 3262 yards of soft and smooth Bermuda Grass. It offers an exciting and challenging adventure surrounded by tall Palm trees, colorful flowers and native trees and plants. The majestic Ceiba trees, considered sacred in the Mayan culture, line the fairways guarding ancient secrets. It provides multiple natural obstacles, and different native animals, like iguanas, cereques, monkeys, squirrels, ducks and other tropical birds will make each round a unique golf experience to be repeated over, and over again.

“Nice course and good value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 August 2013 via mobile

We visited in July and played the twilight rate. Played all 18 holes and really enjoyed the course. You need to stay on the fairway though as the rough us difficult to play out of. Good value and nice course.

“tropical course”

very nice course. the fairways are tight and you don't want to go into the jungle to get your ball. It rained HARD throughout the day, but it wasn't bad.

“OK”

It is nicely laid and could be a nice course but but three or four of the greens were work in progress.
Not cheap for what it is

Nice course but £75 for 9 holes is a bit OTT, no one was on when I went so why so expensive? lf they reduced the price they would get more people

“Great fun”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 April 2013

I've played this course for 20 years, and although it needs work it is always fun and challenging. The new manager, Jose Luis Ortega, is enthusiastic about making improvements and is looking for player opinions and suggestions. This is not one of your pristine courses, but one that is basically cut out of the jungle. Within the first week that Jose was on the job, you could see immediate improvements. The best part about it are the people behind the counter and the guys you play with! Doug
