extremely well equipped, Emily & Andrew are brilliant hosts. To be able to stay somewhere of such a high standard with dogs was a privilege. Already booked again

“brilliant property with everything....”
Reviewed 28 August 2012 for a stay in August 2012

We rented the Barn but there is a cottage too. Both interconnect for larger groups or families. the standards of this property are excellent. Everything down to the books and games on the shelves were given a lot of thought. The furnishings and the facilites were of a very high standard. Everything you could need in the kitchen was supplied.

Recommend it for both families and friends. It is a good base to go walking, cycling or just going off in the car for the day. Beaches 20 mins drive. Port William has 2 very basic/simple stores which sell a very limited selection but adequate.

“First class luxury in a peaceful countryside haven”
Reviewed 22 August 2012 for a stay in July 2012

Absolutely lovely cottage, all mod cons including underfloor heating. Large garden - great for our dogs. Useful welcome pack including a cake baked by Emily, wine, bread, milk butter etc..Huge tub of fresh herbs in garden. Wood burning stove kept my teenage son amused. No wifi or phone signal so completely relaxing. Could do with a DVD player - my son took X box so we watched DVDS on that. 10 minutes from deserted beaches - we love the one at Monreith. Highy recommended.

“Wonderful house”
Reviewed 4 August 2012 for a stay in August 2012

I travelled with my partner and elderly parents to this holiday let. Emily was very welcoming and the lemon cake, wine etc was great. We stayed in the Barn and it was immaculate with lovely open views across the countryside. Our dogs loved the walks, especially through the fields. Everything you would need for a successful self catering holiday was provided and the quality of furnishings and bathrooms etc. was very high.
Location was good and we really enjoyed exploring this beautiful, unspoilt part of Scotland. Highlights included Port Patrick, Isle of Whithorn, Port Logan and Kircudbright.
Well worth a visit.
