Arrived here on August Bank Holiday Monday for a weeks stay, thought the place would be overrun but there were only 5 outfits on our side of the site while the opposite end was occupied by an owners club rally. Superb site, billiard table flat, wonderful views straight out to the Mull of Galloway and to the Isle of man. Elecrtic hook ups and a scrupulously clean toilet block, laundry room and dish washing facility with loads of hot water. The toilets/showers were immaculate, couldn't fault them. The site is only 100 yards from the villages main street and there is a childrens play park adjacent, Port William is a tiny village but it has shops, filling station restaurant and hotel does food, very friendly peole as well. Loads of places to visit in the immediate area, a week just wasn't long enough but we managed to fit in Monrieth Beach, St.Ninians Cave, isle of Whithorn, Whithorn Priory, Wigtwon, Garliestone, the Standing stones at Drumtroddan and Blairbye, Old Place of Mochrum, Monrieth House, the old church near Elrig and, further afield, we visited the hidden treasure that is Glenwham Gardens and Portpatrick.
This is a fantastic little site, run by equally fantastic and friendly wardens, the site is owned by the local community and they are obviously very proud of it. It is the perfect place to relax and unwind, well worth a visit, I guarentee you won't be disappointed....Arrived here on August Bank Holiday Monday for a weeks stay, thought the place would be overrun but there were only 5 outfits on our side of the site while the opposite end was occupied by an owners club rally.
