We went last time to San Giovanni in August 2012, although it's a place we know since many years. And it always maintained a very very high level of constant and satisfying quality. The refinement of 'ravioli' filled with fish or seafood, spaghetti, risotto is amzing. Plus the choice of fish (but also meat) cooked in a pure local way is a pleasure for the palate. The service is perfect, you feel really spoiled and the people are always ready to explain and give recommendations on the freshest choices. Last but not least the prices are fair to what you receive, taking into consideration that superior fish and seafood cannot be something cheap, but value vs price is fair.
