“A great value Pub lunch.”
Reviewed 21 March 2014

A friendly welcome, good service, pleasant atmosphere and plentiful menu and beer choices.
We are a walking group of retirement age plus and so were delighted to find the superb value for money "Senior Citizens Menu" offering two courses for an amazingly small sum of money.
I had the Roast Beef, which was very tender, served with a good selection of nicely cooked vegetables, roast potatoes and a yorkshire pudding. A good variety of puddings also on the menu.
I strongly recommend this pub.

“Great Pub!”
Reviewed 23 February 2014

Very friendly staff and a warm welcome awaits you! Good choice of menu and great food. There is a bar area and also a restaurant area. It is a great pub for locals and visitors alike. Great beer garden to enjoy those sunny days and evenings. Plenty of parking. Well worth a visit!

“Brilliant food and friendly staff”
Reviewed 3 January 2014

I can agree with the previous reviewer about the pulled pork - it was delicious!

The three bar/waiting staff were charming and welcoming. Food was reasonably priced, and there was a really good selection with usual pub favourites as well as more unusual dishes (cod and chorizo in white wine, for instance).

Pub was warm and cosy on a bitter January day, and had a relaxing, quiet atmosphere. For a warmer day, there are plenty of tables outside in the garden.

Intend to make this a regular haunt. Highly recommend!

“pulled pork ...yummy”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

popped in for a Sunday lunch snack and both myself and better half Lauraine had a pulled pork baguette with fries and a fab side salad .......pork was in a scrumptious barby sauce and was covered in a load of melted cheese ...looked like something off MAN-V-FOOD....and the beer was top notch......had to let the good lady drive home with the roof down....also the locals were very welcoming along with the friendly staff........will be going back...and will take the Boy.
