We've not stayed in a 'caravan park' before - cruising is more our scene - but we loved this. Seemed small scale; very green, very tranquil but easy access to all areas of the island. Caravan was light and spacious. It took a bit of time to understand the working of the water heater but we did get hot showers.

Room Tip: The Oak + Birch areas seemed a little more spacious and quieter.

My Son and I stayed here for 4 nights during half term and I was pleasantly surprised how quiet and peaceful St. Helens Holiday Park is.

Located in the small village of St. Helens the park is secluded and surrounded by lots of greenery with the caravans set on grass as no cars are allowed by the caravans, they provide trolleys to transport luggage. This makes the park very quiet and child safe.

Our caravan was set away from the car park with plenty of space between us and the next caravan, it was exceptionally clean and tidy with all mod cons.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming and I would recommend this park to anyone looking for a peaceful break.

Myself and my husband stayed here for 4 nights as part of a newspaper offer. I have to say that this is one of the best holiday parks that I have stayed in. It is a small, quiet park - no clubhouse/ entertainment which isn't our cup of tea so this suited us down to the ground. You are not able to park your car next to your caravan which helps with the peacefulness, trolleys are provided to help you to transport your belongings from your car to your caravan. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The park has a small games room which includes some slot/ games/ fruit machines, an air hockey table and a couple of pool tables. We played quite a bit of pool during the evenings and we were the only ones in the games room, pool is 50 pence a game.

The caravan that we stayed in was very well maintained and was clean. It had everything that we needed for our stay.

We booked a 4 night stay using a daily mail offer.

The site is quiet and well maintained. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The caravan was in good condition, well equiped, and had comfortable beds. The TV reception did break up in the evenings at times.

The site is well located for the east of the island, but it is a bit of a trek gettng over to the west side to the needles and other locations. Trafiic on the island has increased a lot in recent years and progress can be slow at busy times, and the roads are in poor condition with potholes.

All in all this is a good site to stay if you are OK not having the facilities of a larger site. St Helens is a nice village with a local pub, The Vine, which gets mainly good reviews for its food on tripadvisor, n.b. it is listed under Bembridge but is in the centre of St Helens. It also has a small general store, 2-3 miles away towards Ryde is a large Tesco.

We have just come back from a 4night stay here via the sun offer. We paid a little extra to upgrade so that it was guaranteed pet free and had central heating as it was early in the season. Was pleasantly surprised by caravan, was clean and location on site was great for us as by their park and entrance. There was no traffic aloud so this made it safe for young children and peaceful. PAUL the handy man was great, u could see he and his team work tirelessly to make it look as lovely as it does. I was concerned that the caravan had no co2 alarm especially with central heating but was advised it wasnt legally required but they were more than happy to fit a brand new one which Paul did immediately. Like some other reviewers have said there were a few cobwebs but thats to be expected as spiders need a home in the winter too (very seasonal island) these arent big spiders just little ones, shouldn't put anyone off and and as the season goes in theyll soon move out. The park is close to most attractions, blackgang chine took bout 45mins to get to but thats only because one of the main roads was shut when we were there. Seaview aminal park was max 15 mins, steam railway max 20mins away and also a tesco extra was 5mins away. Overall a lovely place to stay....will definitely go back and would urge anyone to give it a go and that comes from a picky person

My Wife and I have just returned from St Helens and one of the most relaxing holidays we've ever been on. The park is quiet and extremely tidy. The local shop and pub are both very close (3-5 mins walk) and both have friendly staff and a reasonable price. We will definately be staying here again.

Room Tip: Cherry 1-4 are very close to the car park but nothing is much further out.

Two of us stayed at this site recently for a four night break. Lovely clean quiet park and very central for walking which is what we wanted. No cars allowed by the caravans which makes it very safe and no noise. Also the caravan had a very comfortable bed. Loved it and would return.
