“Astounding place to stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 June 2012

Would we stay at Podere Prasiano next time we visit Italy? Most certainly.
Our only regret was the fact our stay was just 2 nights. As previous reviews have stated there would be no problem spending at least 5 nights at Podere Prasiano.
Our stay was during the first earthquake that shook Ferrara about 80km’s away. Despite that event, we still ventured out in our rental car not knowing what to expect and surprisingly we did not see any damage to the area at all. It was as beautiful as the day before the quake hit.
I could write more about our stay at Podere Prasiano but once again, previous reviewers have said it all before me. Yes, this is one very special Agriturismo. I will conclude by saying grazie Emanuela and Massimo for your gorgeous place and warm hospitality.

we had a fantastic stay here. Emanuela and Massimo are great hosts. The house is wonderfully and tastefully renovated. The food was amazing, both dinner and breakfast. Highly recommended...

Situated on a hillside overlooking unspoilt countryside in the foothills south of the Via Emilia this agriturismo is well worth the trip through a few winding roads to get there. The accommodation is both modern and well kept but, as is true of the best of Italy, it is the food that really makes the difference between the good & the outstanding.

The evening meal was a ridiculous bargain for a feat of cold meats, pasta , local specialities, cake etc etc washed down with a very tasty Lambrusco

The greetings were heartfelt and we were sad to leave despite such a short stay

we stayed just two nights here and wish we had realized how special it was and could have stayed much longer. Nestled in the hilly countryside near Vignola and close to the mountains with lots of hiking and cute countryside day trips you could spend a week. This was our fifth trip to Italy and there is nothing to compare with the views, food, hospitality and accommodations . It is out in the country but so worth the effort, a whole different Italy without the masses and traffic-- just beauty!!

My husband and I have stayed at several Agriturismo places throughout Italy, but this place has definitely got to be the BEST EVER!

Podere Prasiano is just perfect. The farmhouse is restored immaculately with a lovely mix of traditional and modern furniture. Rooms are comfortable, with super views of the surrounding countryside.

Emanuela and Massimo are excellent hosts - friendly, warm and extremely helpful. One of the many highlights here is Emanuela's cooking - it is to die for! All fresh produce, wonderful homemade jams and pasta, scrumptious cakes, all lovingly prepared for us greedy guests.

Since we celebrated our first wedding anniversary there, Emanuela surprised us with a special romantic dinner, complete with heart-shaped ravioli, fresh flowers and candles - it was perfect.

Edi the dog is a pleasure to have around - he is as friendly as his owners and we loved our daily afternoon walks with him around the agriturismo grounds.

I would recommend this place to ANYONE - whether on a relaxing break, romantic getaway, family trip, this place is IDEAL. It is a home away from home, in every sense.

Dont think....just go! You'll be hooked in no time!

We will surely be back

This is one of those reviews that I hate to write -- not because the place was bad, but because it's so good that I'm afraid getting a room will - very soon - become impossible! ;-)

My husband and I arrived a Podere Prasiano after spending one night in an establishment closer to Bologna which, despite great reviews on TA, turned out to be a horrible disappointment. Next morning, I was online looking for an alternative and, within five minutes of firing up my laptop, happened upon Podere Prasiano. I think, after one very, very lousy night, the travel gods decided to smile upon us and led us to straight to Emanuella and her delightful home.

My husband and I spent a total of five nights with Emanuella and Massimo - two of which were unscheduled, added to the end when we were stuck in Italy because of a nationwide transportation strike. Their hospitality throughout was generous, gracious, and warm; I cannot tell you how welcome we felt.

Of course, the rooms, the house, the property, and the views are magnificent. Those photos on their website don't lie -- if anything, they don't do the place justice.

Breakfast was delicious, healthy, and abundant; dinner, if you choose to book in, was wonderful. (But there are some fantastic restaurants nearby. Emanuella and Massimo are knowledgeable guides and can direct you to all of them.) If you're a foodie, man, you're in the right place!

In the nearly 27 years of our marriage, my husband and I have moved 14 times, within both the United States and Europe. Consequently,we've been fortunate to be able to do a lot of traveling, and there are only a handful of places that we remember with such fond recollection as our time at Podere Prasiano. With luck, we'll soon be back to that wonderful part of Italy, and to Emanuella's and Massimo's superb hospitality.

We spend part of our holiday in August 2011 at Podere Prasiano. It was in 1 word : fantastic! Wonderful restoured house, the nicest swimmingpool we have ever seen with a superb view on the surroundings, wonderful breakfasts & homemade dinners & even homemade wine. Emanuella & Massimo just started their B&B this year, well, they surely will have lots of success the coming years, we recommended it to our all friends! Mario, Ann, Lieselotte.
