Stayed only for one night during my business trip but generally i wasn't impressed at all. Location is great if you fly to Exeter and want stay overnight close to the Airport (5 minutes drive). Rooms are big enough for single person, bathroom also big and clean but nothing like Hilton standard. Service and bar at the reception is a joke. We arrived late evening and all what we could order was a pizza. Bit disappointing for Hilton franchise. Also bar area located just beside reception is very poor as there is no privacy when you sit down. I am happy to stay again when fly to Exeter next time but only because of the location and room cleanness.

We emailed to both general manager Bektas Ketenci & operations manager Gary Huyton about our experiences of 2 January stay and never received a reply. We were unable to address some of the service issues to any of the management staff on duty on our day of check out either. 5-point summary below:

1. English language skill was severely lacking in general staff members, but particularly in one of the front desk staff, Alina.
a) We requested extra blanket/duvet for our room at 21:30, but they never came. Room temperature was only adjustable to a certain degree, the rest is set by central control. b) when requesting a bottle opener downstairs, she could barely understand us.

2. No complimentary water and snack upon checking in for HHonors Gold member. Again, Alina did not understand us nor was she aware of the Hilton HHonors rules.

3. We requested room with a bathtub in Hilton online reservation details and again upon checking in but were told these rooms were in need of repair??

4. At 10 o'clock in the morning, the cleaning personnel knocked us up and came in uninvited, whilst we had the "Do-Not-Disturb" sign placed on door. This was unacceptable, particularly considering the check-out time is at noon. We had a distinct feeling that she wanted to finish her work day early and went home early by harrying guests off.

5. Restaurant/cafe service is confusing. Which menu is for what hours? Dinner available on site?

In short, the staff at this property need serious re-training and attitude adjustment. Poor management all in all. Stay in city instead.

PS: Difficult to find if your Sat-Nav hasn't been updated over the last 6-8 months.

Room Tip: Stay at the end of corridor for quietness, but no bath tubs though.

The hotel is very basic, no restaurant (but there was a snack bar), no hair drier in the room etc. However the staff were excellent - when an accident occured with red wine the staff went out of their way to help. The check in/out staff was quick and the staff also friendly and helpful.

Thank you to the staff for making our one night stay very enjoyable. The rooms are luxurious for the price, superbly clean and a very spacious walk in shower. Highly recommended. Good nights sleep was had, very quiet premises. Cannot understand anyone finding fault with this hotel. Ten out of ten.

Stayed over night before a flight the next morning, the check in was smooth and easy, the room was spacious, clean and fresh smelling, the usual tea/coffee making facilities but unusually there were no biscuits. The bathroom was clean with normal free shower gel etc. etc. Didn't find the bar prices to expensive especially for a airport hotel, the adjoining Marco P. White restaurant I will review separately. didn't really have enough time in the morning to sample the cooked breakfast but the Continental breakfast was good enough. All in all having previously used the Stansted Hampton/Hilton the quality and value for money is very good and will definitely use them again

We found the hotel great for location to Exeter airport as we had to be in airport by 05:30 in morning. The hotel has free shuttle, Wifi, bar and snacks complete with a breakfast although does not start to later in the morning so missed but great at a cost £68 on Boxing Day. Will certainly use again for airport early starts

Fantastic hotel and very convenient as I was collecting my parents the next day from the airport. The staff were extremely welcoming and could not do enough for me and I always rate places and service on whether the staff genuinely smile amongst other things and this was very true here. The hotel was very clean and great value for money. Overall 10/10
