They won't accept reservations via email or telephone - they always say to send in a deposit (usually $20 or first night's rent) with your date requests, site request and contact info. I've called to change my reservations, but haven't ever asked for a refund. They have storage nearby - I think it's now $36/month and they charge about $6 to move your trailer in and out of storage. Make sure you wash it and paint any metal frequently if you store it down there as the ocean salt air will corrode the metal. Haven't had any break-ins while in storage but have heard from others that it's happened to them. The security in the park is good - have never had anything stolen - been camping there regularly for 13 years, but recently heard from a long time regular that one of their camp chairs was taken (they were along the beach walkway). It's a nice park - nice beach. Usually quiet, except Easter when it can get loud with music and parties at night. Wifi is spotty - usually signal is better if you are closer to the office. There's no in-park cable TV - usually can pick up one local channel. The hotel restaurant is good. I recommend this park vs others on Cholla Bay side since it's quieter (no bars playing till 3am). There's a jacuzzi - it's spotty - sometimes too hot, sometimes too cold.

the hotel seems a lot nicer on online pictures. there was a patch of drywall on our wall that hadn't been painted over which looked tacky, the rooms were not clean and the front desk service sucked. the only pro to this hotel is the beautiful beach other than that it was a disappointment!

Room Tip: location is awesome but make sure the hotel is too

If you don't look at the walls or the floors it's not so bad. I don't think the bathroom has been really scrubbed cleaned in a long time and it shows it, disgusting.
Staff at front desk needs to have training in customer service. Door locks were tricky and not easy to lock. No bedside clock or coffee maker.
Beach front location and decent restaurant next door.
The two swimming pools were filled with family's & kids. Not much quiet time for adults.
Will not stay again or recommend this hotel.
Playa Bonita shows signs of neglect & deferred maintenance.

Room Tip: Don't book close to the pools. Higher floors if the elevator is working.

We returned to Playa Bonita for the first time since 2007. Back then it was one of the best places to at in Rocky Point. Now its become a wanna be resort with very expensive prices for what they offer. We have stayed at better Motel 6. The staff have no customer service skill at all. They make up excuses for everything. I was happy to see that they did have free WIFI only to find out its super ssllooowww. The elevator is slow and was out of service a couple of times including during checkout and we had to carry our stuff from the 4th floor. Parking is just dirt with no shade. The halls smell funky. The double rooms we had need deep cleanings. The restroom was gross and smelled like old rag. The drawers were broken. They dont leave hand towels, you have to request them.. and pay a tip. We got stuck outside on the balcony because the door got jammed. The T.V. oh the T.V. I hadnt seen that kind in a long time. And the signal sucks. Restaurant is good, very overpriced: $5 for about a cup of cereal! The only so so thing here are the pools. They can use cleaning as well tho. Location is good. My advice; pay about $100 extra and stay at a 4 or 5 star condo. We learned our lesson not to plan last min to go to Rocky Point.

The front desk was not friendly at all. We had reservations for 3 days and not one of of those days did the elevator work properly!! We had to go up the stairs to the fourth floor everytime! On our second day the elevator broke down and someone was stuck in there for 20 minutes. The staff never even bothered to clean our room! It was all just an unpleasant hotel for the time being there but at least the beach was down the path there. Oh and don't eat at the restaurant there it gave most of my family horrible heartburn and made our stomachs hurt.
