I booked this hotel online through booking.com/trip advisor. Note that we payed considerably more than if we had booked directly through the hotel. Online the website for this hotel said please call directly so I opted to book online so as not to bother with the differences in language and added telephone charges for an out of country call.
The hotel was easy to find. Rooms were dated but clean and the beds were comfortable. Since this is our first trip to Puerto Penasco I thought the rooms were decent priced considering it was Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The device in the restaurant was good, a little on the slow side but livable. The service in the lobby bar was very very slow. Main meals were pricy so we opted to eat most of our meals across the street in the restaurant there.
I did look around at a few other hotels while we were there and they were not nearly as nice.

Beautiful property! Sos the lobby Bartender was attentive and his dining suggestions were wonderful. Pool bar and access to the beach from the hotel are great. And right across the street from South Side Jillz!!

We stayed here for four days over Thanksgiving and loved it. Definitely not a 5 Star hotel but it was clean and had a wonderful pool area. Its located right on a beautiful sandy beach and only 5 minutes from old port where all the shops and restaurants are. A taxi ride to old port is only $2.50 per person. The hotel has a very nice restaurant but we only ate dinner at it once in four days. The food was delicious. There is a small very nice restaurant/bar directly across the street from the hotel called Max's that we ate breakfast at everyday. Delicious inexpensive menu with fantastic bloody Mary's. We opted for the ocean front two room suite at the hotel and it was very nice. Ground floor, fantastic view and with our own patio just off the sand. It was a little more money than a standard room but very much worth it. Only down side is that the hotel does not allow outside food or alcohol brought into the room. Not sure why there would be a refrigerator and a microwave in the room if that is not allowed. But we would definitely will stay here again.

Room tip: Get an ocean view two room suite

Vacationers with small children be aware that there are no outside drinks or food in this hotel. It's a real inconvenience when you have tiny kids. Everything has to be purchased from the hotel restaurant or store. This is an inconvenience when you have leftovers or when your children don't eat everything. The place is clean, small, but in a great location, since the beach is walking distance. The pool is clean and warm, the restaurant is tastier when you order from their menu (skip the buffet, its expensive and lacks flavor). The mattresses are really hard but you can call the front desk for a mattress pad. Something to consider is that calle 13, which is closest to the hotel, has three stripper locations; I wouldn't take my daughter out for a walk at night. The restaurants and bars directly across the street are nice, safe, and affordable. The parking lot is small, but there is additional parking on a huge dirt lot where the street ends.

We spent a lovely 4 nights at Puerto Peñasco, MX. The weather was nice and the hotel accommodations were wonderful. Rooms are clean, the staff are really nice, and their in-house restaurant is decent.

Room tip: All rooms with a balcony are nice.
