Place is AWESOME...First time at Rocky Point, place was great, staff is very friendly, our room was huger, and had all amenities. Just a short drive to get supplies (food), and overall a great 5 days. Pools and Beach was a short walk form the hotel elevator. Taxis were readily available to go downtown, or anywhere, for that matter. Planning on going again soon, hopefully staying here again. Overall A+

Room Tip: If you want access to beach, get the ones on the first floor. If you want peace and quiet, get the o...

We've stayed at Las Palomas twice & really enjoyed the resort both times. The condos are nicely decorated, the beach is amazing, plenty of pools. We love to use the free bbq's for dinner & only eat out once or twice while we stay. It's nice to just relax in a home like atmosphere. The staff is helpful & welcoming. Both times the resort was not very busy & we could definetely tell our business & American $ were much appreciated.

On a lazy Sunday afternoon we sat at the bar at Citron to watch some sports & caught the tail end of the brunch buffet. It was delicious! The posole was the best I have ever had! I had seconds & then thirds! Amazing!

Room Tip: Condos on the bottom floors have great huge patios!

Just got back from 2 night in Rocky Point. Have stayed in several different places for the past decade. This was our 2nd stay in Las Palomas. Overall A+. The rooms are spotless, have updated appliances, are large, luxury design. Several of the pools in both phase I and II are heated, which are lovely. Has a small water slide for kids. 2 lazy rivers. Ocean water was warm and clean as always in Rocky Point. Staff were helpful. Room service food is quite good for the price. We even left our iPad by accident in the room after we checked out. Came back several hours later and they found it for us without problem.

Room Tip: Check craig's list or VBO for condo owners that rent their condos out. This way you can choose e...

A fast and cheap, beautiful getaway near southern Arizona. Service is goo and prices are amazing. Hosts the Rocky Point Triathlon, which is a crazy good race and a ton of fun. This probably isn't the most quiet resort, as it gets lots of partiers. But that's the best part.

Room Tip: Stay lower if possible.

Nice resort, we had lunch at Citron, it was a buffet, and for $12 it included burrito style fixings and other food. Not bad. The golf course had a nice driving range, but the putting green was next to the pro shop, not the first hole, so we missed it. We usually play the Nicholaus course at the Mayan here, and this course was not quite as difficult. There are a couple of holes where you can see the ocean, but this course is not an ocean side course or advertised as such. The course is in back of the resort, and a few of the holes are very noisy with cars and atv's going by. But the back 9 is much more quiet. No homes on the holes, just natural beach dunes and vegetation. I lost 4 balls here, you would think that when you hit off the fairway you would be able to find a ball occasionally, but the bushes are large and are ball gobblers. There are a few tricky holes that require a blind 2nd or 3rd shot into the green, and it's not always apparent where to hit. A course layout guide or even a small one on the back of the card would be nice. The on course service was frequent and friendly, with a good selection of liquors, mixers, and sodas. Overall, a good experience, not crowded, the fairways were in excellent conditions, nice spongy thick short cut grass that was a pleasure to hit off. The greens were also very nice and rolled true. For $90 for 2 people this was a great value and we'll definitely go back.

Room Tip: Putt near the pro shop before you go to the driving range and first tee.

We have gone to Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point) 3 times over the past few years and have always stayed at Las Palomas. We are getting ready for our 4th stay and made it extra long this time! Each time we have stayed in different condos (1 bedroom, 2 bedroom & 3 bedroom) - they are all beautifully decorated with all the amenities and necessities (from TV to Internet to Music). All 3 owners we've dealt with were wonderful and very helpful prior to making our reservation. The last time we were there (Christmas 2012) we watched about a dozen dolphins play for hours right from our own balcony. The Las Palomas "team" is always exceptional. It seems like they are always cleaning, cleaning, cleaning and yet will jump to assist you if you need something - everyone from the Bell Person, Front Desk, Housecleaning, Pool Side Bartenders - always a pleasure and extremely hard working. Even the beach in front of Las Palomas is maintained to excellence. I always wonder why we aren't there sitting at the swim up bar or at the beach more often - it's a wonderful beach so close to home. Love Puerto Penasco and Las Palomas!

I have stayed about 6 times now a few days each time. Sometimes I just rent from an owner I find on Craig's List, great prices. I have stayed in many Beachside Resorts over the years, I like this one the best. I always request the Diamante building, for location. The units are modern, the kitchen is almost exactly like my own in Phoenix. Great views of course and wonderful staff. The pool system is clean and large enough to not be too crowded. Swim up bar, negative edge, and not far from the rooms. The golf course is so-so, I prefer to play Peninsula CC over at the Mayan Palace where I own a time share, That should tell you a lot, I own at Mayan but choose to stay here most of the time. The Mayan is nice, just too far away, and that is another review. Las Palomas is 5 minutes from the Mercado, great shops and fresh seafood to bring back to the Suite and cook. I also appreciate the covered parking, mostly in the cooler basement. I have nothing negative to say, I can't wait to go back, and it is only a 3 hour drive from my house in Phoenix !

Room Tip: decide and request if you want to see the sunrise or the sunset, only the more expensive end units g...
