We had a lovely evening at the hotel. Normally, we wouldn't have stayed here as there were few amenities. Hotel says that they have WiFi, but it's weak, almost non-existent. No a/c - and it was warm. Not very good food; difficult to locate the hotel as few directions and the road to the hotel was difficult and likely impassable in a rainstorm (only a concern in the summer). But still, after all that we had a lovely time. Met some very nice people, and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The hotel is reasonably priced, perhaps they should consider increasing the price and add a few amenities.

Spent 3 nights at Bahia and it was fantastic. The property is beautiful, room had a view of the ocean, the setting is gorgeous. Need to be aware that is is quite remote, and all your meals will be eaten at the resort. While breakfast is included, the other meals are extra. The food is fabulous and the prices are reasonable. Betty the manager was very attentive and accommodated our children's picky tastes in meals. Margaritas are delicious. Great place to hang in a hammock and read and listen to the surf.

My husband and I loved our cabana on the beach, the food was really wonderful, the bay was so clear - swimming and kayaking were great - I didn't make time to snorkel but next time I definitely will. I thought the service was great - I don't remember anyone but I always had everything I wanted - for me a sign of excellent service. Very romantic.

Room Tip: I loved the room right on the beach - I enjoy hearing the waves at night - they are not too loud as...

From our first glimpse of this bay, we were captured. The beach is wonderful for swimming, kayaking, just watching waves. Coco, the chef, is world class and our food was just amazing, healthy and delicious. The casitas were a blend of basic/rustic and elegant, and if you can get used to cold water, you will be in heaven. We even had little bats hanging from the eaves outside our bathroom window, so kind to be taking care of any mosquitoes! We loved the crashing waves sending us to sleep after an active day of reading, swimming, kayaking and walking the beach. Also very secluded, a private bay with a private beach.
Of course the drinks were great, some new and very special.
Two spotted eagle rays buzzed the beach each morning and afternoon, providing extra entertainment, although we were so content to sit under the palapas and read. Staff is helpful and very friendly. We're eager to go back!

Room Tip: Decide how many stairs you can walk up or how close to the beach you want to be.

A rustic paradise suitable for a romantic getaway or a family or group celebration. We returned to the Bahia to find that the food, which was always good, has moved to excellent. Coco, the chef, is a master of flavors. Laila is the charming manager and has always given us great service. We were a group of 24+ and had a wonderful 5 days together celebrating our friend George's 70th birthday. The water was a bit rough but we managed some kayaking, swimming, snorkelling, walks on the beach, watching the rays, and, of course, great cocktails and fun. We look forward to many more vacations here!

This is an all-in opportunity to enjoy your days on a private cove with easy surf, while you pace yourself through tasty meals and efficient bar choices. The staff is discreet and friendly. The dinners are gourmet! With cabin rooms dressed in good linens, it won't take long to realize that this hide-away on a sweet brush of white sand offers all you need to ease back and decompress. If your beach wish-list includes top hotel services, yet a secluded and intimate feel, this is your gem.

Room Tip: There are cabins at beach level and also a walk up the hillside. Be sure you have it in you to hike...

My partner and I stayed at Bahia de la Luna last month for three nights. The location is amazing! You have a private beach all to yourself. The personal attention of the hotel's manager
Laila and the extremely talented chef Jorge was unforgettable. The rest of the staff was also very welcoming. Delicious margaritas, homemade Mexican food for lunch, Jorge's fresh creations at night....a dream come true. Enjoy an Ayurvedic massage by Claudia and a boat ride on the coast where you will see plenty of dolphins, turtles, and manta rays. In sum, I highly recommend this secluded hideaway.
