This is a great hotel for the family. There are tons of activities from huge pools with water slides to an on-site zoo with tigers and parrots. My 11-year old son particularly liked the boogie boarding as the hotel lets you use their boogie boards for free and the waves are perfect for a young family.

We were upgraded to a 1-bed room suite with in room kitchen. the only complaint I have is that the room was far away from the pool and ocean. the compound is so large that walking from one end to another is 15-minutes. there is a grocery store nearby and an air conditioned shopping mall.

The room and shower could have been more comfortable tho. The bed was sub-standard and the shower was old.

I live in Aruba and had friends in this time share. I was so impressed with the cleanliness, customer service and amenities of this Resort. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The pool and grounds were constantly tended. I would highly recommend.

I spent nine nights at Paradise Village. My friend and I were upgraded to a better room as they had us signed up for one queen bed instead of two doubles. We really appreciated that. We didn't do the all-inclusive option so I can't speak to the food at the resort. I did however try out the 2 for 1 drinks that are on every day from 5pm-7pm. They aren't very strong but they are tasty. There was always huts available on the beach but if you wanted one at the front row, better get up early for that (around 7/7:30am). The staff is very friendly and the rooms were cleaned daily. There are some nearby restaurants I would recommend: La Dolce Vita (Italian food), Riviera Grill (Mexican), Il Pescatore (Italian/seafood), Fajitas Republic (Mexican). I do not recommend Sonora El Sur -- poor quality of food in my opinion and the smell of smoke from the BBQ can be overpowering. There is a grocery store about 2 minutes walking distance from Paradise Village. There is also a Starbucks and other little shops in there. There are options to do Vallarta Adventures -- I HIGHLY recommend the Las Caletas trip. Was the highlight of my trip. There is also a bus stop near the Starbucks which can take you to Puerto Vallarta or somewhere else like Sayulita. Hope this review is helpful!

My husband and I own a timeshare in Vegas and we used that week to travel to PV for our anniversary. This is a very nice hotel/resort, however, its located in Nuevo Vallarta and we just couldn't help feel like we were stuck on a large (although nice) compound. The freedom to roam to other hotels/restaurants just wasn't there. Since the hotels along this beach are all inclusive they do not allow you on their property unless you are staying there. We did not choose to do the all inclusive option with our stay and we ended up being very happy about that. I recommend this resort if you like to stay in one place (eating, drinking & shopping) but not if you like to try new things during your stay.

We really enjoyed the pool activities and found ourselves there every afternoon, the beach was full of bugs and made for unenjoyable tanning. If you are at the pool for drinks and food, sit/lounge in Omar's section, he's the BEST server at the resort.

Our room was large and had everything we needed, decor was a bit old but its what I expected. The limited amount of food we ate was just OK, nothing to talk about. We like to eat nicer food than we had here, a huge reason we were happy to not be all inclusive.

The taxi ride to down town is $24(US) and totally worth it! Next time we'll stay there.

This was our 2nd stay at PV. The facilities are maintained at a very high level. The menus at the restaurants could benefit from some updating but the food was good. The Sunday brunch at El Tigre is excellent and should not be missed. The Mexican Fiesta on Monday nights is a lot of fun. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. Food and drink service under the pallapas on the beach is great. Check in could be speedier. Might be a software issue.

We purchased time at Paradise Village about eight years ago and have been there about six times over that period. The resort always has been very clean and well kept. The beach is fantastic and goes on for miles. There are lots of palapas available to provide shade and seating. There are also two pools on site which are well kept and well used. There are daily organized activities at the pools. There is a very good golf course associated with the property and an elaborate fitness centre with another swimming pool. There are a couple of restaurants on site which are not bad, but I believe the quality slipped a little on this last visit. However, there are so many great restaurants in the Nuevo and Puerto Vallarta areas that it is a shame to not try to visit as many of them as possible. The on site restaurants have a special theme each night (Mexican Fiesta, BBQ, Shrimp Feast, etc.) which can be very good. Rooms are comfortable and well laid out, especially the two bedroom units. There are Oceanside units and marina side units. We prefer the marina side as it tends to be a little more quiet and better value for time share owners. It costs about 200.00 pesos for a taxi (for four people) to downtown Puerto Vallarta, or one can take the public bus system for about 23 pesos each. The resort did not seem to be quite as wonderful as it did on our first visit, but it still is a great place to stay. We have never had any concerns about our safety in the Puerto Vallarta area.

Room Tip: We prefer Marina side rooms. If you get a room that you do not like, see if they will move you. Th...

Just returned from a week at Paradise Village and it was awesome. The grounds are beautiful and very well taken care of. Everyone that worked there was just amazing. They worked so hard and were very accomodating and always there to help with whatever you needed. If you ever needed a golf cart to go to the market for food or whatever, they were right there. No waiting at all. We purchased breakfast food at the market to make our own breaksfasts as we discovered the breakfast buffets at the resort were really not very good. We had lunch a few times at the little restaurant right on the beach and it was very good. The Italian restaurant was also very good. It's a great spot if you like to play in the ocean or walk on the beach. We will definitely go back.
