Very clean and friendly. Be prepared to be pushed into buying a time share...besides all the usual trinkets. Go ahead and attend the meeting to take advantage of the cash you get plus the discounts on excursions, etc. Then say NO. Avoid pre-ordering excursions online, as you will pay full price and there will be some confusion when it comes time to get on a shuttle to wherever you are going. Drink beer and pop and bottled water, not margaritas, because the ice cubes are not guaranteed safe (trust me). Instead, buy your own tequila and bottled water at Walmart and make your own ice cubes and drinks. The PV airport is a dream! At least it was coming in on a Monday and leaving on a Sunday. Take a cab or van. Don't pre-order the shuttle online or you'll pay too much.

We have been vacationing at Paradise Village annually since 2003. Each year enjoyable. The size of the property is good...not too big and not too small. Rooms are spotless and cleaned daily. Nice long white sand beach and plenty of palapa's on the beach with lounge chairs. Two pools - one happening and the other quiet. Beach and pool service available and/or beach restaurant. Each room has a small kitchen facility which for us is great as we eat breakfast in. We have lunch at the beach or go get something at one of the mall take out places (tutto pronto is our fav) and bring back. We do not eat dinner at Paradise.........like to get off property and many great restaurants around as others have noted. Note: they have coffee maker in room. We bring our filters (cone shape) and they do not provide dish soap...we bring that as well. Both area available at the local store, but at premium price.

This is a great hotel for the family. There are tons of activities from huge pools with water slides to an on-site zoo with tigers and parrots. My 11-year old son particularly liked the boogie boarding as the hotel lets you use their boogie boards for free and the waves are perfect for a young family.

We were upgraded to a 1-bed room suite with in room kitchen. the only complaint I have is that the room was far away from the pool and ocean. the compound is so large that walking from one end to another is 15-minutes. there is a grocery store nearby and an air conditioned shopping mall.

The room and shower could have been more comfortable tho. The bed was sub-standard and the shower was old.

I live in Aruba and had friends in this time share. I was so impressed with the cleanliness, customer service and amenities of this Resort. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The pool and grounds were constantly tended. I would highly recommend.

I spent nine nights at Paradise Village. My friend and I were upgraded to a better room as they had us signed up for one queen bed instead of two doubles. We really appreciated that. We didn't do the all-inclusive option so I can't speak to the food at the resort. I did however try out the 2 for 1 drinks that are on every day from 5pm-7pm. They aren't very strong but they are tasty. There was always huts available on the beach but if you wanted one at the front row, better get up early for that (around 7/7:30am). The staff is very friendly and the rooms were cleaned daily. There are some nearby restaurants I would recommend: La Dolce Vita (Italian food), Riviera Grill (Mexican), Il Pescatore (Italian/seafood), Fajitas Republic (Mexican). I do not recommend Sonora El Sur -- poor quality of food in my opinion and the smell of smoke from the BBQ can be overpowering. There is a grocery store about 2 minutes walking distance from Paradise Village. There is also a Starbucks and other little shops in there. There are options to do Vallarta Adventures -- I HIGHLY recommend the Las Caletas trip. Was the highlight of my trip. There is also a bus stop near the Starbucks which can take you to Puerto Vallarta or somewhere else like Sayulita. Hope this review is helpful!

My husband and I own a timeshare in Vegas and we used that week to travel to PV for our anniversary. This is a very nice hotel/resort, however, its located in Nuevo Vallarta and we just couldn't help feel like we were stuck on a large (although nice) compound. The freedom to roam to other hotels/restaurants just wasn't there. Since the hotels along this beach are all inclusive they do not allow you on their property unless you are staying there. We did not choose to do the all inclusive option with our stay and we ended up being very happy about that. I recommend this resort if you like to stay in one place (eating, drinking & shopping) but not if you like to try new things during your stay.

We really enjoyed the pool activities and found ourselves there every afternoon, the beach was full of bugs and made for unenjoyable tanning. If you are at the pool for drinks and food, sit/lounge in Omar's section, he's the BEST server at the resort.

Our room was large and had everything we needed, decor was a bit old but its what I expected. The limited amount of food we ate was just OK, nothing to talk about. We like to eat nicer food than we had here, a huge reason we were happy to not be all inclusive.

The taxi ride to down town is $24(US) and totally worth it! Next time we'll stay there.

This was our 2nd stay at PV. The facilities are maintained at a very high level. The menus at the restaurants could benefit from some updating but the food was good. The Sunday brunch at El Tigre is excellent and should not be missed. The Mexican Fiesta on Monday nights is a lot of fun. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. Food and drink service under the pallapas on the beach is great. Check in could be speedier. Might be a software issue.
