My wife and I just returned from our wedding/honeymoon at the palace and everything was fantastic. We had 30 friends and family come to the resort and every single person had the time of their life. Our wedding was beautiful and very well planned. Everything went off without a hitch. We couldn't be happier with our excelent experience.

Its very nice to stay cosy and relaxing. Nice friendly staff and very comfortble atmosphere. You will love the modern room and restaurants.
about the food, there are brasilian, italian japanese restaurants to dine.
You can enjyoy your break fast and lunch in buffet restaurant which is air conditioned. We fell in love with the omlet and variety of fresh juice. You should try green juice.
also there are very good service in this restaurant though its buffet style.
We loved the japanese restaurant which is named momono hana.
There are variety of oriental foods which you can choose and every dish is very aromatic and has sofisticated flavor. Their sushi has japanese taste and delicious. You wil lnever get disapointed about mexican sushi.
only we did not like was italan restaurant.well the food was not bad but the guy who works as the maneger was awful. We don't know why he was there as the maneger. We got very negative performance from him and he botherd us too much to dine. And he was just standing andd chattering with the girl. he harms the quality of restaurant.
Terefore we never had tried some more food there.

We spent a week at the Vallarta Palace, May 9th - 16th and had an absolutely fabulous time. Due to the swine flu scare, numbers were down at the resort, which wasn't great for the staff (as many had been laid off), but was quite nice for us. No scrambling in the morning trying to find a lounge chair at the pool!
The resort itself is so beautiful and kept clean, clean, clean. The staff are incredible. They just cannot do enough for you and are so helpful, polite and extra friendly - despite the low numbers, which equates to low tips. Please remember that even though it says "all inclusive" that does not include tips for any of the staff. Be a little generous and show your thanks for the fantastic service that you will receive at the Vallarta Palace. I also want to add that the staff never appeared to be waiting for a tip, which we have experienced at other resorts and can be an uncomfortable feeling. The staff at the VP were very thankful with any tip that was left for them.
We went down for a week just to relax and that we did. There is lots to do if you want to go out on an excusion (sunset cruise; booze cruise; ziptrekking; horseback riding.....). This can all be arranged through the resort. There are bikes available at the resort which are actually in really good shape. There is a small zoo at the El Tigre Golf Course that is free to enter and just a short distance from the resort. Alan from the Activity Dept. took us on a bike tour one morning and we saw newly born baby tigers. Quite the thrill! They were so small (still had their eyes closed). After that we went for a bike ride everyday to check on the babies. Riding (and walking) around the area is easy and we always felt safe. Motorists are very courteous when you are riding a bike on the road.
There is a mall across the road with various clothing stores, souvenirs, coffee shops (Starbucks) and restaurants.
We walked to Boucerias one day along the beach and it took us about 1.5 hrs. We went first thing in the morning before it got too hot. Took a look around at the shops, had a bucket of beer and shrimp tacos at a bar on the beach and then headed back to the resort by taxi. It was not a difficult walk on the beach and we were able to really take in all of the resorts that are situated in the area. Unfortunately many resorts are closed down due to the lack of tourists at the present time.
Activity Staff at the resort work extremely long hours and really make sure that there is something to do for everyone all day and into the evening. They had casino nights; karaoke; comedy shows; mexican fiesta night, to name a few. You can join in or you can just lay back and listen to the fun. No pressure!
Speaking of pressure, I have read that some people were pressured by the Timeshare people. We received one phone message, did not respond , and never heard back again.
The rooms are great. Fully stocked liquor cabinet and fridge refilled every day with juice, pop and water. Housekeepers were super. The room is cleaned during the day and then at night , when you return to your room, the curtains have been drawn, the bedding turned down, chocolates left at the bedside and soft music playing. How can that not be special!
There are three a la carte restaurants and one buffet. The food was incredible. Our favourite was the Asian Restaurant. The sushi was excellent. The Italian restaurant is right on the beach and is so nice in the evening with the warm breeze and the most incredible sunset (very romantic!). You get to pick from an extensive wine list when you want wine, which was a real treat compared with the wine that we have had a previous resorts. There is also 24 hour room service!
The beach area is kept very clean and there are lots of palapas and loungers on the beach. The pools are also very clean and again lots of loungers. Two outdoor bars at the pool with servers all day long and also an inside bar lounge with TVs.
There is also a beautiful Spa at the resort. We did not use the services of the spa but did talk with other people who did and they had no complaints. You can also get a massage on the beach, just a short distance from the resort, for a very good price.
Last but not least, you get FREE unlimited long distance phone calls to Canada and the USA! We thought there was going to be a catch when we checked out, but no catch - the calls were absolutely FREE. That was a great bonus!
You get exceptional service at this resort from the moment you arrive until you say good-bye. I cannot imagine that anyone would not enjoy themselves thoroughly. We are looking forward to going back soon.

Our family went to Vallarta Palace had had the most fantastic vacation. The staff could not do any more than they did. Prompt, friendly, enjoyable...Plan to go back again. Food was fantastic, fresh fruit. All inclusive was the way to go. The beds were always turned down at night, the jacuzzi was relaxing. The view was breath taking. Sun Set cruise, don't miss this one! You could not go wrong with this vacation!!

Overall our trip to Vallarta Palace was amazing. We had a really great time and were relaxed throughout the whole trip. The staff was very friendly, engaging, attentive, and always available for anything you needed. We already said we would definitely go back. Some low lights. The timeshare people were very aggressive. At the airport the time share people identified themselves as the shuttle driver we had prearranged to take us to our resort. It worked out because we got a great deal on the Vallarta Adventures Outdoor Adventure we wanted to do anyway but two in our party had to sacrifice themselves for three hours to get the discount, not the 90 minutes they "promised." By the way we totally recommend the Outdoor Adventure instead of the canopy tour. Way better! When we finally found our driver stuck behind a rope with all the other drivers trying to get their clients, we made it to the resort. Very nice upon arrival and immediately taken care of, except for the daytime front desk ladies. We asked for a room with a balcony for the bride and groom and were told there weren't any available. They never did get a balcony. I don't know how other couples on other trips scored these prized rooms, maybe it had to do with how many people were in their group. We only had 10 total in ours. When we were checking in we asked about one of the rooms for ourselves we were told for an extra $50 we could have it. Huh, thought they didn't have any available. We then had to beg and plead for a room with an ocean view. They originally stuck us on the back side of the hotel. The next day one came open and we got it for the remainder of the week. When checking in be aware the rooms on the second and third floor are smoking rooms. If your room number starts with a 2 or a 3 and you don't want to smell smoke all week, get a different room. Our only other concern was the windy conditions for the wedding. If you are planning on getting married do it either early in the morning or very late in the day when the wind is much calmer. Our wedding was originally set for three in the afternoon. The rehearsal showed us how windy it is at that time so Angeles, the coordinator was extremely helpful and was able to call and reschedule in one day the wedding to 4:30 in the afternoon. Unfortunately it didn't matter because the wind was still blowing very hard anyway. I'd recommend 6:00 or later. The time zone there is the same as CST in the US so it does stay lighter later. Sunsets were around 8:15 to 8:30 in April, May. We tipped several staff members because they treated us very well and felt they deserved it. Plus we were there for a week and saw the same people working every day. It's almost like they don't get a day off or maybe only one a week so we could just imagine what they get paid. Reference the food. We enjoyed all the meals we ate. I've seen other negative comments and I can say the food was good in all the restaurants. The Brazilian and Italian were our favorites. Don't forget to ask for the alcohol that you see on the shelves as compared to the alcohol they'll try to make your drinks with that they keep behind the counter. The entertainment was fun especially the Circus night. Everyone in our group is already saying we are definitely going to return to Vallarta Palace and this time explore Puerto Vallarta more. We only made it into town one day. I guess there was enough to do at the resort that we didn't feel the need to leave.
