We just completed another great stay on the Vida property again this year, staying at the Grand Bliss for the month of January. My wife and I had great time, with different family and friends joining us for some of our stay, making it very enjoyable.
The Grand Bliss property is top notch, located in the middle of the resort, with great ocean views if your lucky enough to be on that side. The resort has several other buildings on the property, including Mayan Palace, Grand Mayan, and the Grand Luxxe Residence Club. All are really nice property's with great amenities. The overall complex is huge, with almost a mile of beach to walk along. The grounds on this property are very beautiful, great for exploring, and unbelievably well maintained.
There are over 10 restaurants on the property, with Tramonto (Italian) being our favorite. They have a wide range of foods available, including Mexican, seafood, burgers, Asian, Italian, and others. Many other good resturants within walking distance, like Prime 159 or Eddie's, or a short cab ride away in Burcerius, like El Burjo and Karen's. Chaser's is a great sports bar or games, and Andy the owner always makes sure we have a good time.
The golf course is very nice, and I enjoy playing most mornings. Many of the caddies are very helpful and good at what they do, with Alberto (Tonga) being may favorite and the one I use most often.
We have been coming here for over eight years now and make several trips to the resort every year. One of the things that really sets this resort apart are the employees, and how friendly, personable, and helpful they are. They really make the trip fun. Some real stand outs for us on this trip would be: Christian and Daniel, the two bartenders at the pool bar at the Grand Bliss. They are very friendly and make you feel welcome. They remember us from trip to trip and make us feel at home. Monica was a great server when we were somewhere other than the bar. Their supervisor Ernesto, always was checking in with us to makes sure everything was good and if their was anything else we needed. Pedro, who was one of the security guards at the Bliss Pool, was always very helpful, always making sure my mother was helped when needed and helping her have a great trip. The activities group, especially Vicente, Marco Polo, Guacamole, and Midori, made afternoon "lazy games" fun. Even the towel attendants Carlos Antonio and Trinidad, we're very friendly, helping my wife improve her Spanish a little every day.
While we normally stay at the Grand Luxxe, we really enjoy staying at all the Vida properties, especially the Grand Bliss, and consider this complex our second home. We can't wait to get back for our next visit.
