“Good bakery with "vintage" signage and the world's best water”
Reviewed 21 October 2013

The baked goods at the Copper Eagle are well worth a stop; in fact you may want to stop two or three times - or get a big take out box - so you can sample everything. While there have a look at the antique advertising signs painted on the outside walls of this and other buildings in the town. We noticed that several of these referenced San Juan Island salmon and strawberries. Curious as to why this would be since we were hundreds of miles and well inland from these American islands we asked a local shopkeeper about them. The signs are apparently part of a Hollywood "makeover" that transformed Greenwood into the setting for the lovely film "Snow Falling on Cedars." The town decided to keep the signs to commemorate Greenwood's moment on the silver screen. While there we also learned that in 2012 Greenwood won first place over more than 120 countries for the best municipal water in the world.

“Great baked good, everything made fresh!”
Reviewed 1 October 2013

Every time I pass through Greenwood I take the opportunity to stop and share in the great food and service! Even though the few number of times I have been in I feel like I'm being greeted as an old friend! For sure I won't pass through without stopping by.

“Great Coffee Stop”
Reviewed 25 September 2013

We stopped here for Coffee while traveling from Osoyoos to Nelson. Good mug of coffee and a nice bowl of homemade soup. Stopped again on our return journey to Kelowna. Just as good second time.

“The best baked goods around”
Reviewed 16 August 2013

If you are traveling through our beautiful B.C. and need to stop for coffee and a terrific snack or sandwich this the THE place to stop!! Their baked goods are absolutely superb!! They make the best pies, cookies , cakes etc. They also have a nice selection of sandwiches, a daily soup and you can get some gluten free items. You can even take home a fresh loaf of bread. Yummmy! Your only problem in this place is deciding which 'goodie to eat'!! They have a nice selection of coffee and tea drinks. Dont miss this place.

“Great food poor customer service”
Reviewed 14 August 2013 via mobile

4 of us were on a bike ride from Midway to Grand Forks and stopped at the Copper Eagle for lunch. The food was very good. After spending $50 between the four of us we asked to fill up our water bottles (the temp was 33 deg C) we were directed to the bathroom. I guess clean water from the kitchen and a couple of ice cubes were too much to ask.

Since our city won the Best Water in the World completion in 2012 we installed a tall tap in the washroom so people would not have to stand in line just to fill water bottles. The water source is the same as all the other taps in the building. In fact we allow RV's to fill up using our garden hose at the back of the building.
