Description: Formerly a coaching Inn, The Inn at Grinshill today is an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary decor. The Inn's transformation began in 2001 when it was bought and over 18 months it went through a dramatic rebuild and restoration. Although many thought it overly ambitious, today, even much changed, The Inn at Grinshill evokes a sense of its own history. Above all else, we and our team work to ensure our guests enjoy the very best in hospitality. The Inn at Grinshill is a Grade 2 listed Georgian property, in a conservation area, located in the lee of Grinshill which is a site of special scientific interest and an area of outstanding natural beauty. There is a little train station in the next village which is a short stroll away, adding to the charm of this rural retreat.

I used to think the Inn at Grinshill was a bit over the top, but our meal (a Christmas gift from the staff in our office) was tasty, beautifully presented, and definitely value for money. The staff, who used to be a bit formal, were more relaxed which made the whole evening even better. Anyone who's not been for a while should go back and taste the difference.

Went here for Sunday lunch - it is dog friendly in the bar so good to have that combined with good food. The menu was not huge but varied and interesting choices and what we had was very good, well cooked and very nicely presented. Service was not brilliant but that could have been because we weren't in the main restaurant - it wasn't a problem and the staff were all very nice. We thought it was excellent value.

I had a 'significant' birthday recently and celebrated with family and friends by having lunch in this fabulous restaurant. The location is idyllic, with a view of the lovely garden from the restaurant. We were made very welcome and the service was warm, friendly and relaxed - just right.
The food was of a very high standard and my guest are still talking about it in glowing terms. I would highly recommend a visit to The Inn at Grinshill, especially for a special occasion. I will definitely go back.

Booked in at the last minute, but so glad we did.

Service was second to none and the food was near fine dining standard. This restaurant is in beautiful surroundings, recommend for a special occasion. We will be returning !

The food is best described as bar food taken up a few notches. The service from the proprietor and his wife was warm and a trifle eccentric, but none the worse for that. Would heartily recommend.
