“A little piece of heaven”

We spent a wonderful weekend here with our 3 year old. Our house had an incredible sea view balcony, which was also a perfect play pen for our toddler! It was so quiet and peaceful, with just the sound of the sea at night, and incredible views over miles and miles of empty beach. The beach was right beside the park, and it was really beautiful and quiet. Nearby Westbay provided necessary ice-creams and people watching. The nearest sandy beach is Weymouth, about 30 mins drive. the nearby ones don't provide for the makings of great sand castles!

The house was really well equipped, the owner Kim was extremely helpful. The one drawback was that our house just had a shower head in the bath, with no shower screen or curtain, and nowhere to hang the shower head, so the whole bathroom tended to get a bit wet. But that was a very minor drawback for an otherwise incredible stay. I would highly recommend a stay here.

“wonderful for extended family who love the beach”

We booked two cottages next door to each other for our extended family. The cottages were clean and well equipped. Better than the photos, we loved the original fireplaces (although they are not working fires) the views from the windows were breathtaking.
The verandas were large enough to eat out on.
Very dog and child friendly.
Quiet and peaceful with good walks and access to the beach.

Well priced and well appointed and have been staying here for years - since the building was redeveloped. Situated in the heart of the Jurrasic coast and path, nestled between National Trust land, with views from Exmouth in teh West, to Portland in the East - magnificent.

We stayed in cottage number 7 (Clipper). Lovely, quiet location near to beach access and a short walk to the local village. The cottage décor could do with a little TLC, but couldn't really complain for the price that we paid. DVD player wasn't working (owner was informed during our stay), but luckily we didn't really need it as we weren't indoors much. Only made dinner in the cottage one night - kitchen could do with a couple of larger saucepans as found it difficult to cook for 4 people with what was provided.

“Ideal for trip away”

We had a fab time staying at the cottage. It was a stroll down hill to the beach - which was perfect for our 18 month old as the little tiny shale stones kept her amused for hours. Also the edge of the surf was fine for the dog to run around in (despite bigger waves just further out) . The cottage had more than required for a home from home stay with a young family and pet and was so quiet at night. The balcony was a real perk and we enjoyed sitting out there in the glorious April sunshine. We would definitely come back here again.

A warm welcome to this quiet location admist rural hills and stunning coastal views.
With easy access to the South West Coastal path, walking in either direction. Local bus route linking the coastal towns and villages. Access to west side of chesil beach and when tide is out the walk along the shoreline from here to West Bay gave the greatest delight of both calm seas and cliff scenery.

We were lucky with a very mild 4 days, brilliant winter sunshine and calm seas which all helped when treking out.

Great for a short break.

Accommodation was simply set out with fully fitted kitchen area.
