Lovely walk from Hayfield to New Mills. Well sign posted. No hills. Shared with horses and dog walkers.

Lovely walk along what used to be the railway line. Now great for walkers and cyclists alike. Nice area and places of interest

“Lovely flat walk”
Reviewed 17 March 2013

Great for walking the dog, running, cycling with the kids, merges into the Torrs and Millenium Walkway and via a path by the Llama farm the peak forest canal. Lots of bird life and nature too. New Mills gateway to Hayfield and The Dark Peak.

“You can still image steam trains running here”
Reviewed 14 January 2013

The line may have closed in the 70's but there's still plenty of interest. It provides a useful flatish end to a long walk (as we came via New Mills).

“Easy and yet great walk, ride, run for all levels”
Reviewed 9 January 2013 via mobile

Love this trail, not only as its a great link from New Mills to Hayfield but its historic too as the old railway line which linked the two. Use it often for training runs, and connecting cycle routes and is great for a stroll along for a beer or two in Hayfield or for linked walks over to lantern pike, little Hayfield & beyond or big stone
