“The perfect cottage!”
Reviewed 28 April 2018 for a stay in April 2018

Really can’t praise this pretty cottage enough. The renovation has been completed to a really high standard and it has everything you could wish for!

Comfy bed, wonderful linen, spotlessly clean, peaceful, well equipped and lovely hosts!

And it’s location is so very peaceful - yet we three fabulous pubs close by! See my other reviews for them!

Plenty of walks right from the door. We very rarely moved the car - really no need!!

Thank you so much for sharing this amazing cottage with us all. We will 100% be back!

Jo & Stuart

“Perfect cottage in picture postcard village”
Reviewed 8 April 2018 for a stay in April 2018

Beautiful cottage which owners have furnished to a high standard. Home from home touches, very comfortable.
The village is perfectly located for many walks and attractions. Bakewell close by for larger shopping needs.
The two pubs in the village both serve good food, and there are two more a nice walk away.
Will definitely return to the cottage and the area.

Thanks very much for for your kind review Annabel and for leaving our cottage so clean and tidy. Jane and I are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us; you and Steve were excellent guests and you are welcome back anytime. Thanks also for your other constructive and helpful comments, I must admit we hadn't considered that the pretty translucent blinds might be a problem. While we would not want to spoil the appearance of the windows, we will certainly consider the possibility of additional blackout blinds. With regard to parking, our experience so far is that our guests have never had a problem parking near the cottage even in peak season. One of the attractions of Great Longstone is that it is a quiet village just off the well beaten Peak District tourist track and is never overrun by day trippers!
We hope to see you again in the future.
Our best wishes David & Jane

“A really lovely cottage”
Reviewed 21 November 2017 for a stay in November 2017

We had a fantastic week in Leaside. The property has been really well restored with all top quality fixtures and fittings. It is very warm and comfortable especially with the wood burner on. The cottage is close to two great pubs and a mile from another. There are many good walks from the door and its very close to the Monsal Trail which it great for cycling. We will definitely return.

“Completely Perfect”
Reviewed 21 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

We have stayed in many cottages over the years and this was by far the best. Beautifully clean, tidy and comfortable it had everything one could need. The location in the village was excellent to enable one to walk to local pubs for superb meals. It was also situated perfectly to visit many of the attractions of the Peak District .

Reviewed 4 March 2017 for a stay in February 2017

We stayed for 4 nights, the location is excellent it's close to Bakewell, Chatsworth and Monsal Head in the Beautiful Peak District. It'd perfect for walking, site seeing and cycling.
The cottage is beautifully restored and presented, we had all we needed and it was warm and cosy.
David & Jane made us feel very welcome and we look forward to returning again.
