We stayed at Park House Campsite in 2012 having read generally good reviews.
The campsite is well located on the B6465 (Ashford Lane) north west of Bakewell, Derbyshire almost on the edge of the spectacular Monsal Head, which is well worth a visit if only to look out over the beautiful Derbyshire landscape.
Although the site is effectively a field with a small toilet and shower-block it is well kept, clean and charming. Most of the pitches have a slight camber and the ones closer to the road suffer a little from passing vehicle noise, but at night the road is quiet.
Although we'd love to say that we'd revisit Park House Campsite, we were really disappointed by the staff who seemed rude and intolerant - not only to us, but other campers, which was quite shocking and embarrassing to witness.
Potentially a very nice site but let down by its staff.
