“Fantastic location and facilities, ideal for a quiet week away in one of the prettiest areas of the UK.”
Reviewed 11 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Foxglove Cottage was exactly what we were looking for and more. Amongst other things we were looking for a place that caters for dogs where we could access the best of the Peak District literally from the doorstep. The piccies on the web don't do justice to the comfy, cosy and relaxed atmosphere; we had everything that we could need with all mod cons. The kitchen is well-equipped so can expect to find everything you could need to whip up a full dinner. Or if you prefer the pubs are just up hill and then down the prettiest dale, and the food there is great.

“Delightful holiday cottage”
Reviewed 31 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

This is a gem of a cottage, warm, welcoming and with a lovely log fire as well. We stay at holiday cottages frequently and this has to be one of the best, lovely location with views and walks..... lots of info available inside, a garden for summer evenings and a cellar for wet walking kit for the other sort of British weather!

“Wonderful, Fab, you will NOT be disappointed!”
Reviewed 2 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

Just back from our second stay in Foxglove. Its a delightful home from home. You will find everything you need here from the freezer in the cellar down to the hair dryer tucked in the dressing table drawer. Paper, twigs and coal for the cosy fire, a welcome tray for your first cuppa and freshly cut flowers in vases. Good selection of games, books DVDs maps (the local walks have been laminated for your convenience) and pointers for the best places to eat. Walks from the door, private garden, immaculately clean, comfy sofa's and beds... I could go on and on.
Sue the owner is friendly and will be ready with a warm welcome.
This will not be our last stay and a review of the guest book shows there are many returning visitors.
My only reservation is that now this cottage is listed on TA there will be an increased number of returning visitors meaning I will have to get my act together and book earlier!
If you are still trying to decide if this is the cottage for you... IT IS PERFECT therefore, it is!

“quiet idyllic spot with most beautiful a view of the country side”
Reviewed 25 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

For us it is the ideal holiday destination without any traffic noise. It has a beautiful country garden, is clean and very well equipped. Several walks starting from the cottage, Cow traffic in the village twice a day and stables nearby for keen horse riders.

“Just perfect.”
Reviewed 14 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

Everything about this cottage stay was just about perfect from the booking procedure and the directions to the information inside the cottage and the actual cottage itself.
Its stunning peaceful location was as hoped and the attention to detail and comfort an added bonus.
If you like quiet country lanes, lovely scenery, beautiful walks to perfect pubs then I'd highly recommend this cottage.
