“Fantastic B and B”
Reviewed 9 January 2017 for a stay in December 2016

Oak Lane Farm B & B is located on a lovely country lane in the Peak district. The B & B is attached to a small working farm so you are surrounded by beautiful countryside, yet it is only a five minute walk to a delightful pub with a log fireplace. There are so many lovely things to do during the day all within an easy drive, and walks just on your doorstep.

The B & B was spotless, spacious, very comfortable and modern, it had a real bonus of a conservatory with settees that we used for relaxing in after a days cycling.

The owners of the B & B were just lovely. They ensured we had everything we needed during our stay. The breakfasts were first class and delicious. They also took the time to show our son around the farm to meet all the animals which was a real highlight of our stay.

We had the most wonderful New Years break, one of the major reasons being this delightful B & B.

“Idyllic rural retreat”
Reviewed 2 January 2017 for a stay in December 2016

Our stay at Oaks Lane Farm could not have been better. Located in a peaceful corner of Derbyshire with views from the conservatory breakfast table over sumptuous countryside, the farm is nevertheless only a few minutes drive from the main Chesterfield-Matlock road, and thus provides ready access for exploration of the surrounding area. The room and en suite were comfortable, cosy and well-equipped and Jo and Veronica were the perfect hosts, providing us with helpful information before arrival and a warm greeting on arrival. We enjoyed some very interesting conversations with them and were able to meet their well behaved animals! We had the sense that our hosts had achieved the perfect balance in terms of understanding their guests and providing them with help and information whilst leaving them space to themselves. We certainly intend to return in the future and would have no hesitation in recommending Oaks Lane Farm to others.

“So lovely and peaceful”

We just "needed to get away for a couple of nights", and don't live far away. Jo and Veronica were lovely, very welcoming indeed. Certainly a place to stay in lovely Derbyshire.

“Fantastic place to stay”
Reviewed 31 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

This was a wonderful place to stay. We only stayed 2 nights but could have stayed much longer. We were introduced to the 2 week old piglets and we're made very welcome. The breakfast choice was varied and very tasty. Lots of walks around and places to eat nearby.

“Beautiful country B&B with warm and accommodating hosts”
Reviewed 29 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

I spend 4 nights at Oaks Lane Farm B&B during the half term holiday with my 5 year old son. The room and en-suite were spacious, cosy and very clean. We also had exclusive use of an adjoining conservatory where we ate breakfast every morning. Jo and Veronica, the hosts, were both welcoming, friendly and very thoughtful, including giving a birthday card to my son one morning after I mentioned he was turning 6 in a few days. The information provided in the room was useful too, including directions for some local 30 minute walks which we enjoyed doing. Jo and Veronica also took my son to see their farm animals, including some adorable 1 week old pigs! Breakfasts were delicious with good variety and come with homemade marmalade, honey from their apiary, sausages from their pigs and eggs from their hens.

Highly recommended.

“way beyond expectations”
Reviewed 24 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We booked a 2 night stay from the internet site & the B & B looked very nice....but when we arrived it was way beyond our expectations. The room was very spacious with high quality furnishings and a luxurious and large bathroom with bath & large seperate shower., masses of hot water.. and luxurious properly sized bath towels [something missing in many B & Bs!!] The room itself was attached to a lovely conservatory overlooking the pretty cottage gardens where there was room to relax on quality settee & chair. Everywhere was immaculate & everything the modern guest could need was provided. Delicious breakfasts were served in the conservatory with a garden view & the magnificent hills beyond. Our hostesses were warm & welcoming and the whole experience was most enjoyable & very relaxing. There are lots of pubs & restaurants within easy reach & our hostess was kind enough to telephone to book a table for us on our arrival....service indeed! I feel that I want to keep it a secret because now everyone will want to go...!!

“Truly fab”
Reviewed 19 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Stopped here whilst my wife completed the 25 walk for life. We got there late on Friday and they kept the place open for us. After providing us with an extremely early breakfast (that they didn't have to), we left for the walk and it was upon our return in the daylight that we saw how lovely the room, conservatory and grounds were. Extremely idyllic.
After the huge walk we got up late the next day and they still catered for us! The hosts were extremely nice and we would love to call again.
