My wife and I wanted to spend a few days away from London in the Peak District. We came across Oaks Lane Farm online and we impressed by the positive reviews we saw. If anything, the reviews understate just how wonderful the place is and how well our hosts, Jo and Veronica, treated us and helped us explore and enjoy the area. The food they prepared for us was delicious and mostly locally sourced, the farm itself is incredibly clean and well maintained and our hosts took care of our comfort in all ways possible. Highly recommended!
This B&B is based on a lovely farm just outside of Ashover near Matlock where there are lots of walks and other things to see/do.
The breakfasts are made with the Farms produce and homemade jams. The room and bathroom is really tastefully decorated and comfortable and the owners really friendly and helpful.
I would highly recommended this accommodation. Extremely good value for money.
We stayed here for a weekend whilst visiting Matlock. It is a beautiful idllyic setting. There is a large bedroom with a double and single bed. A bathroom with bath and shower and a conservatory/garden room. Veronica was very friendly and breakfast included sausage, bacon, honey and jam made on the farm. Highly recommended.
What a fantastic B & B. Very friendly, super breakfast. Jo & Veronica were warm and welcoming hosts who made our stay even more enjoyable. Accommodation second to none. We will definitely return.
Found this and just had to book it.
You will not be disappointed with your stay here.
It is a beautiful place just far enough away from it all down a narrow lane.
Clean tidy and a beautiful breakfast. Comfy beds and loads of hot water.
Oh! I will also add that the owners are friendly and very helpful if you want to know anything about the area.
Go on spoil yourself.

Warm welcome and a fabulous stay - great hosts couldn't do enough. Great advice on walks in the area and even lent us a walking guide and OS map.
Lovely room with excellent en suite and the bonus of a conservatory as our private breakfast room. Breakfast itself featured lots of treats including home made jams.
We recently stayed at this blissful little b&b.
Firstly, the location, the farm is in the picturesque peak district. After driving down a tiny road, it suddenly opens out into a scene from a James Herriot book. Rolling hills and the distant mooing of cows, reminds you that you have stepped away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The B&B itself was decorated to a very high standard and felt cosy and welcoming. As part of your stay you have use of the bedroom and the conservatory exclusively where a sumptious breakfast is served. We can heartily recommend the sausages, bacon & eggs all free range from the farm itself. Jo and Veronica were very attentive hosts and nothing was too much trouble, they even booked us in for our evening meal at the local pub and we really appreciated them going the extra mile for us.
A decent B&B can be hard to find but dont hesitate to book this hidden gem - you wont be sorry.
