Reviewed 16 August 2014 via mobile

Great find, ideal for those with young children with a pub garden that is as good as any park you've seen.
Kids love it, mum and dad can relax. Food great staff great.
Worth going to.
Well done

“Friendly, family pub with good food”
Reviewed 15 August 2014 via mobile

We found this pub quite early on in our visit to Wight and we ended up eating here 3 times. It's very family oriented, with a children's playground, kids menu and also a smaller toddler menu option which was a nice touch. We ate here at lunchtimes and it was busy but not too crowded and the service was great. Nice choice of specials every day, and plenty of choice on the main menu too. Very good value and in a great position for attractions like Robin Hill. Note - it's best to book ahead if you want to dine in the evening - despite its size it does get booked up, as we found out.

“Children friendly and good food.”
Reviewed 14 August 2014 via mobile

We ate here on spec. It was busy and we were informed that they could accommodate us but we would have to be finished by 19.30.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the drinks arrived in a timely manner.

The food took 30 minutes to arrive and we were not warned of the wait - this was the only downside.

When the food arrived it was piping hot, good portion sizes and tasty.

There was plenty of room to park and whilst there were no children with us there is a large playground and the place appeared to be geared for children - lots of high hairs, children's menu and the staff were never phased by anything that happened.

Overall it was good meal.
