Wow, what a wonderful chocolate box cottage.
We stayed here in Dec 2017 and arrived very late at night with two young children, the house was set up in such a good way we were able to put our children to bed immediately and felt at home the moment we walked through the door.
The following morning it was like Christmas had come early for my children with the amount of toys for them to play with.
The kitchen is fantastic with everything you could wish for in there.
I cannot recommend this properly highly enough for a family, it really is a hidden gem and one that we look forward to visiting again very soon.
The Brew House is a fantastic little cottage, thoughtfully stocked for families with small children - our twin boys LOVED the selection of classic toys and books!
We enjoyed evenings by the fire eating local cheeses!
Ali gave us a great welcome with warm from the oven biscuits, Home made cakes, prosecco and jams!
David sorted us out with bikes to take on the nearby cycle track which was a great family activity!
There is so much to do on the island. Walks and cycle paths on the door step and fantastic beaches a short drive away!
Lovely places to visit and plenty to occupy the kids!
I can not recommend this place enough! We had a fantastic holiday!
The Brew House was a great base for another fabulous Isle of Wight holiday with our two young children (age 7 and 2).
The cottage is very well equipped and the welcome hamper with cakes, jams, eggs etc was wonderful. The owners, Ali and David were very helpful with advice on the local area and the toys and books in the children's bedroom, as well as use of buckets and spades was appreciated.
We came here for our honeymoon and it was so wonderful that we have just been back for our 5th wedding anniversary. The owners are incredibly welcoming and very helpful, booking our ferry tickets and a restaurant for a special evening, providing amazing homemade cake and giving very useful recommendations (we particularly enjoyed the pudding they suggested at the local pub). The area is very peaceful and we spent most of our holiday pottering around either on bicycles (which are available to borrow in a wide range of sizes) or on foot, eating garlic from the farm 10 minutes' walk away and enjoying the sunshine. The kitchen is particularly good for a holiday let and we were able to enjoy our own home baking as well as catering for ourselves on occasion. The brew house is one of our favourite places and we hope to go back again soon.
We spent a long weekend at The Brew House and had the most wonderful time. The cottage is definitely the best one we have stayed in with everything you could possibly need and more!! Ali and David are fantastic hosts who made us feel very welcome, gave us lots of ideas for trips out and provided a really lovely welcome basket with home made treats which went down a storm!!
We loved using the bikes provided for a family bike ride along the nearby trail. Our girls loved all the toys and books in their room and we loved lighting the fire for cosy nights in.
It's perfectly situated for exploring the island and really is a home from home. We're already hatching plans for our next escape to The Brew House!!!
It's a lovely, comfortable cottage with Ali and David as wonderful hosts. The cottage has everything you can wish for. If you want to read a book, play a game or cook in the completely fitted kitchen, it's all possible. The cottage is in a very central position on the Island, so everything is within reach. Pub at walking distance as well. And, Ali and David lend us their bikes so we could go on a bike ride which we thoroughly enjoyed. So highly aprreciated! Lovely, very complete and enjoyable cottage on a lovely Island!
