Reviewers all love this location, me too but everyone doesn't think about the pricing reflecting the absolutely gorgeous "remote" nature of the site. Come on, this place isn't in town and it is seasonal. What do u you expect? Place is a little tired on the outside but comfortable rooms, great food and all the other amenities you expect from a hotel in town. I recommend it.

Room Tip: Get a mountain view. It's worth every penny. Best view from a hotel in the park.

This place is old and tired and over priced but is set within beautiful mountains. The room was basically clean but nothing special, the pub was a lot of fun, the restaurant was OK expect to pay more.....likely because its so isolated. The cafeteria in the morning is grossly overpriced for what you get. The staff are nice though, the store has whatever you need but costly as well. If you can make it 80km for gas then try...this place wanted $1.79/litre. Its a captive audience given its location so they capitalize on it.

We stayed there twice this year with family and friends, but we should have stopped at Lake Louise or Jasper instead. This was the last time we paid for a "really basic" room. The prices (both for rooms, restaurant and pub) are ridiculously high. The room didn't have an hair dryer! Can you believe it? This motel is unmaintained and way too expensive for the price. The girl at the front desk told us we're in a "high season" when we checked in, but the other server at the restaurant told us the opposite ... They're abusing because they know that they're the only one open between Lake Louise and Jasper. They're taking customers for fools! Really Bad service at the restaurant, cold food and unprofessional manners with public! Would not recommended this place!!!!!

I was most upset with the sneaky way they are sliding their costs of "going green" onto the public. When I questioned this they told me that there was a sign by the washrooms indicating that. When I went back to review the sign, it stated that 2% of sales was being "dedicated" to the practice of going green. They did not indicate that 2% was being CHARGED on top of your purchases for this!!!!
This was on top of paying $30 for the buffet in which much of the food was cold.
No Wi-Fi in the hotel.
I was already expecting the high prices due to other reviews, but I was not expecting the extra "tax".
I will NEVER stop there again.

Small room with two double beds,a dresser and TV with only a few channels. Senior unfriendly - no grab bars in tub or a mat to prevent slipping. Over $200. For the night. Meals ridiculously priced in restaurant and pub where you cook your meat ($13.00)to cook a hot dog based meal!!! No wifi in the room. No coffee in the room and office in the morning. one bar of soap provided.
Would NEVER return.

Room Tip: Go further on to Jasper accommodations.
