Went snowshoeing with Thalia from White Mountain Adventures last week. The conditions were not ideal at Sunshine Village, however Thalia's entertaining stories and great attitude made up for the bad weather. There were avalanche warnings, so we did not hike through Sunshine Meadows, as planned, but skirted the ski trails for a great workout. Hot chocolate and cookies halfway through were a great refreshment and warmed us up to keep on trekking. A guided snowshoe tour is a great way to become acquainted with the Rockies and the Sunshine Village resort, as well. A great value and memorable outing.

Booked a snowshoeing tour with White Mountain Adventures. Small group tour
Tour guide was very friendly and quite knowledgeable. Half day tour took our group into the back country. Great workout...definitely not for the faint of heart as it is quite strenous to trek through powder. The tour included a light snack......hot chocolate and couple of cookies. I think it would have been beneficial for this tour to include a full lunch or to encourage tourists to pack snacks or a lunch. I had a full breakfast along with protein shake prior to hike and I was hungry and exhausted by the end...I did have a granola bar and water for myself as I am used to long hikes (other members of my group were not prepared)
I would definitely do it again but would HIGHLY recommend packing your own lunch or at least snacks and LOTS of fluids as you can become quite dehydrated snowshoeing at 2400ft.......

Overall great experience and if you love adventure you will definitely enjoy the half day snowshoeing adventure

Myself and 2 others went on a snowshoeing trip with WMA in March. Despite the near white out conditions, which limited some of the terrain w could access at the top of Sunshine Village, we had an amazing time and a lot of fun. Our guide, Cindy, had to act quickly and improvise on our trail and route for the day. A well earned hot chocolate and cookies are included. Definitely not the most ideal conditions to go snowshoeing, but it was our last day in Banff and still had a great experience. Also, we all had the right gear - windproof pants and coats, which were a huge help. Highly recommended. Hope you have better weather.
