We stayed in the Gopher Suite, which has two beds in the same room, kitchen with everything you need, and table with three chairs. There’s even a fan and a heater. We were welcomed by Laura and shown our cabin. Each cabin has milk and cream in the frig as well as homemade granola. The breakfast is served starting at 7:30am in the patio area. Laura had freshly made hot homemade bread, rolls, jams, and lots of different fruit. The hot rolls were to die for!

Homemade chocolate chip cookies and drinks are served everyday around 4pm until they’re gone. Don’t worry – there’s plenty! We used one of the two available gas BBQs. BBQ utensils, marinades, catsup, mustard and relish were all supplied. There’s a gazebo and two regular size picnic tables. We had our own little patio table outside our cabin too! I was sitting at the table when a deer starting walking onto the property. Then another deer joined him. They went behind our cabin and around to the front yard. They started eating the plants and flowers and when they had their fill, they laid down right by the gazebo! These were 10 and 11 point bucks! See photos!

Laura and Lloyd are really friendly and helpful and made our trip special with all their little extras. It's only one block from Banff Avenue, yet very quiet! We loved having our own little suite. We felt right at home.

We recently stayed in Banff Beaver Cabins and we both felt that the cabins were overrated. I chose the cabins months befoe our trip (mostly because of the raving recommendations on Trip Advisor), yet when we got there we were given a basement apartment (Gopher). There may have been a misunderstanding, but I don't remember reserving one. The apartment itself is quite nice, though everything is just too small, especially the toilet-shower (which also has a noisy vent). The sink is in the room itself and the double bed is against the wall, so one person has to climb over. The kitchen was very nicely furbished. Breakfast is a somewhat strange arrangement, whereby you drink your coffee in the room, yet the other breakfast items are outside. Not very convenient, especially when it rains.
This being said, the location is excellent, the place is very very clean and well maintained and the hosts are very outgoing and friendly. Home made buns in the morning and cookies and juice in the afternoon were also nice. The complex is quite old - charming in its own way, except for the comments made above.
I did not look at any of the other cabins - chances are they may be bigger and perhaps nicer.
For us this was a bit of a disappointment, but I would still recommend it for the location and cleanliness.

We stayed two nights in the Elk Cabin and we only wished we stayed longer. We were hesitant about staying right in the town of Banff, but besides a bit of traffic noise, the cottages were great. Laura has done a wonderful job at making the cottages, clean and cosy. She is a wonderful host always willing to help and to the supply the little extras that make your stay perfect.
We would definitely use these accommodations again.

Great location - 1 street away from the shopping and restaurant street. It is a home away from home and the family that runs these groups of cabins are incredible. Fresh breakfast daily, ice tea and ice water and COOKIES all late afternoon. I cannot say enough about Laura and the location.

The five of us stayed in the Cougar Suite. The rooms are so well kept and updated that you would never know the age of the space.

Please stay as you will never get the same experience or reasonable price for a family in a hotel in the Rockies.

Arrived on a very wet afternoon. Laura was very friendly and offered us fresh juices and home-made cookies as we checked in. She pointed out where breakfast would be the following morning and also told us we could use the bbq. She gave us a container of home-made granola and took us to our cabin (Lynx). We fell in love with it straight away, it was delightful, small, cozy and had everything you needed all tucked away (pots, pans, crockery, coffe maker, toaster, microwave and even a 2 ring burner). Laura had even put milk in the fridge. Breakfast consisted of home-made jams, rolls, fresh fruit. Location cannot be beaten, right behind tourist information centre. Very close to trails. Unfortunately we had to leave after 2 nights (should have been 4) because of the floods they had in the area. We will definately be back when we are in the area.

We stayed at this lovely place for a week during our trip through the national parks.

Our cabin was petite but absolutely fine for 2-4 people. Perfectly located for access to the town and far enough away to be away from the noise.

The fresh bread, cookies and fruit daily was an added extra that was really appreciated. Our host was knowledgeable friendly and ever ready to help with local information.

I throughly enjoyed my time in Banff and would book again if I ever return.

Very clean rooms, excellent location (doesn't get better in banff), freshly made cookies every morning, access to a bbq/gazeebo/picnic table, and extremely welcoming and accommodating owner. This place is ideal for any type of group. My three friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
