The assortment of sandwiches here is incredible! Love their soups and baking! This is a must stop place for lunch while in banff. There is a small outdoor seating area and a courtyard near by. They have some vegetarian options and gluten free as well . The simple grilled cheese is worth every penny!

“Grumpy Service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 July 2014 via mobile

We came here for breakfast, looking for a more local and small-business flavour to the resort hotel breakfast. Baked goods were good and there was a small patio area to eat outside, which was nice. However, both the staff member who took our order and the one who called us when our order was ready were grumpy, impatient, and did not seem to realize that the faces they were making were visible to us customers. Did not go back the next day.

“Great coffee, even better desserts ...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 July 2014

True artisan bakery with a great menu of fresh sandwiches, coffees and desserts. Good pick for whether you are looking for a decent bite to start a day of outdoor exploring, or looking for a lighter meal later in the day. Cheery, friendly and welcoming staff ...

“Excellent baked goods, poor service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 July 2014 via mobile

The best flaky pastries and artisan bread, comparable to Europe's best bakeries. Disappointed that the staff were not very friendly & forgot our order (they started preparing it after a reminder from us but left it sitting to get cold until a second reminder) and the staff didn't seem to care, not even a courtesy "sorry." My boyfriend got his order long after I finished my food.

Hi Leya,

Thanks for taking the time to review us & provide us with some feedback. It’s great to hear you loved the bread & pastries!

We try to create a welcoming community space for everyone, so I apologize that you didn’t get to experience that. During the busy summer months we try our absolute best to ensure that every order gets completed in a timely fashion, however sometimes things do slip through the net. We are working on streamlining our processes to make things faster in the future and the prevent orders getting lost. I hope if you visit again you will have a pleasant, faster experience!

“Coffee Art in Banff!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 July 2014

Service a little slow & disorganized - long lines & waits. Was surprised to receive a latte resembling an Aussie flat white - coffee art & all....knew it was going to be fabulous before my first sip! Well done & will be back regardless of wait!

Thanks for the review. We’re currently working on reducing our wait time by hiring more staff and getting a new POS system in place. I hope it’ll be quicker for your next visit. Glad you love the fresh, organic coffee we serve! We’re pretty proud of it. Thanks again fro the review.
